Tweetreplace 2010 stereo with 2011 model for a2dp?
i would really like the a2dp streaming feature since i listen to podcasts on my long commutes and the phone speakers dont cut it. As far as i can tell visually, the 2011 stereo (which supports a2dp) is the same as the 2010 stereo model
I have a 2010 Sedan EX.
Does anyone know if i can purchase a 2011 stereo and from where and how much it is?
If its quite expensive i might as well get a in dash dvd system that supports a2dp.. but i'm trying to do a simple swap
Just use an Aux cable.. Very simple. It's not wireless but all u do is sit the phone down plugged in and listen to your podcasts or whatever else..no need for a multiple hundred $$ project just for that..
thanks, both of you..
but i think i still need something with a2dp capability.
I have the aux/usb cable and it plays stuff that is stored on the phone. But some of the stuff i watch/listen to is streaming and unfortunately the cable doesn't play audio that is streaming, such as youtube, or from apps like ootunes that play live streaming radio/audio
Angel, what is your price? And which model is it.. i'm assuming whatever it is supports a2dp streaming (and will fit the 2010 forte sedan ex model)?
Before I got my nav unit, I did that stuff all the time with just an Aux cable...I found out a reason why it didnt work in my parents Soul...make sure the audio is playing and THEN go to the input. It doesn't recognize it if it's not actively playing...it would never read pandora and then id play it on the phone and then hit aux on the car and it played it perfectly..try it
crap.. i was kinda focused on a2dp that i forgot that i got a new phone (samsung) and i don't have my iphone anymore.. well i do have the iphone but i'm using samsung primarily and soon it will be an HTC cuz thats what i got from work.. I will try it out with an iphone though, just to see if it works as you say Shaks...
but if that doesn't work, i'll have to get a replacement. Angel, i'm trying to stay under $100 for everything including install. one local shop said $35 (for one hour of labor) so i was hoping it wouldn't be more than $65 including shipping.. maybe that's wishful thinking.. but let me try what Shak said just to see if it even works how he described it.
if you are inclined to doing anything with electronics you will be able to do the switch IMO.
Just remove dash, unscrew old radio from bezel, screw new one in, and plug up.
But if you are still interested PM me and we can work out the deal. I'll take the 65 shipped. I mean it's not doing me any good so it might as well go to someone how wants it.
