Can someone please help here. I am reasearching everything to install an after market radio in my car. I have everything now but the radio. I ran into a little confusion looking at the radio harness kit I just received. I have the two connector stereo harness kit by bestfits.com BHA7303. There are two connectors to this kit. One provides all power hookups and speaker connections. The other has a single wire for amp turn on. My problem is this amp turn on wire. I don't know if my car has an oem amp installed in it and what effects it would have hooking up this trigger wire. I have a 2010 forte ex. I have a feeling I do not have an amp... but really I am not sure. Having an amp would also mean not knowing how it would interface to an aftermarkets speaker out connections. How can I determine if I have an amp in my car? Any help please?
the ex does not come with an amp and as for the remote wire if you need one to hook up an amp you can connect to the cigarette lighter if I can remember right its black and orage one hook up to the orange one.
Thanks much! I was not sure. It looks like I don't really need that extra connector with the single wire amp trigger connection then. You saved me ohming out speaker connections
