Smile Added a brushed aluminum dash kit

I wasn't planning on adding a dash kit to the Forte SX but after some prodding from my wife (we share the car) I did just that. Her point was that the all black dash with gunmetal accents and dark gray seats was just too dark and a bit monotone. So now the interior is definitely lightened up and features a mix of gray/black/gunmetal and now brushed aluminum.

Here's the before:

And the after:

I got it from DashKitMall.

KIA Forte 2010-UP Dash Trim Kit [KIA-23A] - $94.95 : DashKit Mall, Dash Trim kits, Door Pillars, Car Parts and Accessories.

They also have a kit for the Koup.

It was only $95 shipped which was pretty fair.

That does look awesome. I would like to get one for my racing red koup but I don't really see a color that would look good IMO. But the silver looks nice

I didn't take any super close up pics but the fit is decent. Like any other kit you have to take your time to line it up carefully or it will look like crap.

Here's a wide shot of my interior. I like it a lot:

definitely makes the interior look better IMO

I have plans to remove and either paint or water transfer something onto a dozen or so parts of my interior

Not feeling it. You have the black primary dash color, gray trim on at least the steering wheel, the aluminum pedals (different from the kit), chrome accents, and now the dash kit. It is just too many colors for my liking.

That looks really really good! (It is almost as good as the white iPhone lol) something similar done to the steering wheel would finish it up nicely...

Think about this. The stock dash is basically dark gray/ black. The aluminum pedals are factory. The stock interior has some gunmetal trim and shiny piano black accents. There's already an assortment of finishes stock and it still looked kind of dark.

To me, the kit brightens the interior and makes it look cleaner in a way.

You're entitled to not like it though. I do.

Yes because it is an open forum, and as long as you like it that is what matters.
