Default Way to upgrade exhaust sound without a whole system?

I currently don't have $500 to dish out on a new exhaust system, so I was wondering if there is any alternative that would make it sound better?

Cut off the stock muffler and weld on a high flow or muffler of choice.

You can find mine here:

Yea mufflers are the way to go. There's a exhaust sound compilation thread that let's u hear a bunch of magnaflow mufflers and maybe a couple others. I know of magnaflow by experience and I rly like their sound.

you could get an axle back exhaust, still cheaper than doing the whole thing, and its partially set-up for when you do.
The BEST sounding exhausts I've heard are made by Borla..

Borla's Forte exhaust sounds crappy to me.
Solo Performance's cat-back is 499 shipped.
Or you could have a muffler welded on.

Off topic, how do you embed a youtube video into here? I couldn't get mine to show properly in another thread.

Copy the URL (http://www dot youtube.com/watch?v=.....) and paste it here. That's it.

I haven't been able to find an axle back exhaust for our cars. Do you know of one?

Its really hard to tell, the camera the guy used was awful. the sound clipped just from him talking to the other guy lol.

Mine sounds pretty nice, quiet at highway speeds 65-80 mph and gives an aggressive growl. I'll eventually make a video for you that is outside the cabin. It is just a high flow muffler with a 2 inch tip.

Im a fan of the expensive systems myself , but I'd rather have just a nice sound over performance , I bought my car because I was sick of repairing something one piece at a time. Most people here are fans of magnaflow mufflers , but being a v8 kind of guy , I will simply say magnaflow and 4 cylinders sound like complete shit. Buy I have always been a fan of certain 4cylinders and flow masters , they seem a little less restrictive than magnaflows , but at the same time offer a cleaner , less ass effect , but it has to be a super 44.

Sorry for not being able to actually link it , but I ran over my other laptop and my MacBook hasn't arrived yet.
