I figured this should probably be in here..

Trouble Code Interpretation
The ECM indicates stored fault code by flashing the malfunction indicator/check engine lamp. Fault codes 1 through 9 are indicated by individual short blinks and fault codes 10 and above are indicated by long and short blinks. One long blink is equivalent to 10 short blinks. The fault code can be determined by adding the long and short blinks.

Clearing Trouble Codes
Diagnostic trouble codes may be cleared by disconnecting the battery ground cable for at least 20 seconds.

You have a turbo right? Maybe it's something with the air flow sensor or throttle body sensor. I'm no gear head just guessing

P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction - Bank 1. ?

Has nothing to do with my turbo. It's the 3" exhuast with no cat, I put a j bung in bank 2, to try and trick the comp into thinking there's a cat there but the j bung is to long and bank 2 O2 sensor is reading. I'm gonna try a spacer next, if that don't work I'm gonna try just putting the O2 sensor directly into the pipe and just clear the code every few hundred miles. Nothing else I can do.

Cause I seized the engine in my suburban, and I need that more then I need the Kia fixed. The Kia just goes to car shows and meets, the suburban is my DD. unless I find $3k with in 2 months but I doubt that cause my wife doesn't want me spending money on cars anymore cause of the baby :( FML!!!!!

Ok check it out.... Fixed some-what of my problem. After examining the engine, and getting some hints as what it could be, we found that the nut coming off the down pipe wiggled loose, which was causing the computer not to read the O2 sensors and making it run lean. After tightening it, started the car and now the wideband is bouncing from 15.1 to 13.6 which is optimal. On occasion at idle it will stay at 14.7 which is preferred. Prior to the fix it was reading 17.1 which is way to lean. We disconnected the battery so the ecu would re-set itself and took it out for a nice easy ride to see if the CEL would go off. After about a half hour it did and the codes I got were

P0140
P0136

Both have to to with bank 1 sensor 2 (the O2 sensor in the j bung)

I also got a "soon to be a problem" code
P0170 - fuel trim malfunction bank 1

Sooooo..... take off the j bung?

Hahaha I'm glad the CEL codes are coming in handy

What if my 2014 KIA Forte5 never gave me the check engine light and the catalytic converter went bad without me knowing and I've driven it like normal, and now the car has thrown a rod in the motor block. Is there anything I can do or fight since the check engine light never came on to let me know it needed maintenance.
