People have been doing this since the 90's, its not new and it is not a HP mod. Your coolant running to the TB is not near enough to warm your air temp enough to make any HP loss. This is silly and pointless.

Not saying you cant do it, but realisticly it does nothing for you. Just so people dont do this expecting anything. On the flip side for you in the warm sections of earth it proly wont hurt anything either, maybe help clean the engine bay up.

It's a cheap mod and you can tinker around your car for a little bit so why not.

Just because im mechanically challenged and learning, i wanna be clear, the only thing this is doing is to cool the throttle body down more because its getting a second route of coolant through it. Because its cooler, the cold air intakes wont heat up as much and therefore your back to cramming the colder air your sucking in at the filter without heated tube at the throttle body. please correct me. NJ gets kinda cold in the winter but i dont think its enough for me reroute coolant lines.

You're betting off wrapping the intake in heat shield tape. Which is what I'm gonna do.

Yea I did that already lol like I said I was bored

And to answer the question. The reason this coolant is ran through the TB is actually to warm it up when it gets cold so that it doesnt freeze. The theory behind it is if that hot coolant from the motor is not running through the TB it will be cooler and then your air will be cooler which will condense it and allow more air in which means more power (along with more fuel) but its honestly not enough to make a difference but im in socal where it doesnt really get cold (35 lowest maybe on a really cold day?) so yea just did it for the hell of it cuz...y not lol

What did you wrap the intake with? Did it have any noticeable results?
