I saw the video, and yeah thats not gonna work for me. The spot where its supposed to go down and sit is blocked by numerous hoses and not to mention there are 2 hoses that connect to the old tubing for the intake and the turbokits one only has one spot for a hose to connect so thered be a disconnected hose.
I have an auto and there is no dipstick that I can find to adjust...
2011 6spd auto..
Maybe I'm an idiot but I couldn't get the piping for the cai to even go down into the wheel well to be able to fit at all, and there would be no way the filter could fit on in that tiny space.
Had to put on the old intake because I now have to go to work. I guess I'll try again on friday but I don't think this will work with my car. :/
Hmm maybe the 5 door has a different setup in the engine bay, as previously stated the koup is different looking. Also if I'm not mistaken, the tk cai is only for manual cars.
Oh and if tk won't allow you to return it id be willing to buy it off you for 250, I was looking at getting one anyway, and id hate to see you loose 250 bucks like that.

As far as I know, dual inlet hoses are only on 2.0l Automatic koups/sedans/5doors.
the 2nd hose goes to the master cylinder and helps with braking - I had a thread somewhere back, others did as well.
I suggest getting a T-nipple, you could also use a pcv breather valve for the house that goes to the engine but I dont suggest doing that as the vaccum from the intake helps promote proper flow.
User KiaTech actually posted also about this.
tl;dr:
-2l/auto's have the 2 nipples.
-get a T-off
-it will fit you have to wiggle it around (it looked impossible for me to but you have to move the lower houses and wires around in your bumper (i did this by just wiggling the intake pipe down into the fender.
Here's a couple of pics of the intake I installed last week. If you look carefully you can see how I installed air hose to the intake. You need to buy an air splitter to connect it to both ends.Hopes this helps
Thanks alot guys! I'll pick up a splitter/t-nipple whatever you'd like to call it either tomorrow after work or on friday and get this puppy installed.
Could you guys give me some specifics on what to look for, I went to 5 hardware stores and 2 autoparts and showed the hose, and was told they had nothing that would work.

I dont think u need a T splitter. Just get a breather valve.. looks like mini intake!

What was your fix on the lower hoses?
I am having the same issue with my 2011 Koup auto 6sp.
I can not get the tube to go down to where it is supposed to.
I have the 2011 6 speed auto. It did take time to get it in place. putting it inbetween hoses if I remember and forcing it to go. It should work its just the hardest part of the entire installation. And I didnt put on the filter untill i had the tub in place. then put the filter on from under the car.

I think he just means its really hard to get the radiator hoses to move at all. They're thick and stubborn. As I said in my message, I disconnected them for my install then just put em back on. I also put the filter on after getting the pipes down in there.
Yeah Ill look tomorrow if your still having trouble, but you have to play around with it. Putting it down near the wheel first and then adjusting it as you go up might be the best way to go. once near the top of the intake ik it goes inbetween two tubes.
