So, I am absolutely thrilled to have found this thread. I have been lusting over the audi headlights for as long as I've known them and I'm planning on bringing home a A5 when I can come up with the money lol.
My koup is a lease, so I was hesitant on cracking open the headlights and such because I was initially going to put audi strips in the inside, so this thread is a gem.
Thank you!

dood, thats nuts... I love the way that looks... I just want it when I lock/unlock my doors.
You could take a test light or a multi meter and unplug a headlight then have someone hit your lock and unlock button. Just test all the pins untill you have the right one. That should work unless there is multiple uses for that wire going into the headlight.
If you want the Audi style lights to work as signal lights when you signal, then you need to use the upper right and lower right pin wires. To keep them on steady (not work with the signal) then use the 2 lower right pin wires.

I finally got them installed! I ordered the same strips as the first link in this post, and also added switchback LED parking lights. The LED strips stay on as long as the parking lights are on, and the LED switchback's are the same color white all the time, until you hit the turn signal when they immediately switch over to amber flashing... however, the LED strip remains on.
These Audi headlights look a lot better when you add the switchback bulbs, I'll upload some pictures tomorrow.
As previously mentioned, the two confirmed wires for the parking lights are the lower middle and lower right... I haven't tried hooking them up to flash.
***BE CAREFUL*** If you use the T-Tap's to piggyback power from the parking light wires, you HAVE to thoroughly seal/insulate them - they are just open-air plastic pieces, so if you don't wrap them with electrical tape real well or use heat shrink wrap, any moisture and humidity on them will cause your wires to corrode, and subsequently any damage that causes won't be covered under warranty.
Also, if you're an electrical junkie, the headlight assembly wiring harness uses 18-gauge wires, so if you use a T-Tap connector you should have the same or very close to 18-gauge wire.
There are others out there, and other posts on here that recommend different ones... but I'm very pleased with these... and this site looks to be the most reputable I've seen so far.

Reason: wrong link...
Sorry about the late response, yes that link goes directly to the page with the switchback turn signal bulb designed for the forte (sedan for sure, probably the koup too).
I have one question....The leds that I got have a red (+) wire and a black (-) wire, will I need to tap into 2 different wires from the car? Or, is the black wire supposed to be grounded to something?
I just got my LED lights today and was just wondering if there's some way to decipher which set goes on the right side and which on the left side? Thanks.
