Default Headlight opening?

I'd Luke to see a DIY video o the opening and resealing of our headlight assemblies next time someone does it, I want to change my reflector and retrofit projectors.

You open them the same way you open any headlight. Bake and pry. Google it.

I think this is a pretty good "generic" video.
I might add it to the forteforumsDIY page on youtube.

When you do, I'll come up and you can do mine too.

its easy, i have a step by step direction on my thread. (no video though). pretty easy though, pretty fool proof. just take time, and bake. 8 minutes at 265. work at it for 2 minutes or so, then put it in for more. Forte lights are easy to do.

or wait till end of august

You guys are hella far away, I know I can do it, it's just a matter of not scratching them, cracking, chipping, or melting my lights in the process. Eventually I know I'll pull the trigger on it, just want to do it only once, take my time, and possibly have the projectors also to make the most of the modification to my reflectors...I really wouldn't mind having a buddy help with moral support, man I don't want to mess em up

I hear ya SX, that's why I wish I had the cash to buy DePR84's headlights he had up for sale. Nice backup set to play with. If anyone has headlights they want to sell cheap, I'll sneak the money away from the wife!

Man its so easy, I did it before work on a monday but didn't like how the color turned out so I opened them up again that wednesday. I started around 10am and had them painted, clearcoated and back in my car by 3:30. You aren't going to melt anything as long as you remove the bulbs, the headlights don't even get that hot, you can handle them right out of the oven.
