After having replaced my DRL bulbs with white LED's, the other bulbs looked awkward and I decided to change the remaining headlamp bulbs with white xenon bulbs. I received a full bulb set today which I bought off ebay for Fogs, Lows & Highs. I managed to change the Highs which was quite easy but the Lows requires that the headlight assembly are removed... something that I will do at a later stage...
So next I went down for the fog lamps. I searched the forum for how to change the bulbs but some suggested that the front bumper had to be removed but I was not willing to do that.
So I went under my Koup and managed to get hold of the Fog light bulbs. They are actually covered by a plastic panel that runs from under the front wheel archs down to under the front bumpers. Attached are some DIY pics that could be useful I think.
1. Remove the 2 tabs from under the front bumper panel
2. Slide the panel out
3. Remove the fog light bulb connector
4. Twist the bulb anti-clockwise and replace with new

are these brighter than stock? the stock are bright!
The stock bulbs are 27W are these white xenon bulbs have the same wattage. That said I am not sure how the brightness can be compared, but to a naked eye I would say they are equally bright... but my eyes could be wrong

Yep they are white indeed compared to the stock bulbs, but as Noodile mentioned, it may as well be because of the blue tint on it...
But I guess that it is not the kind of white that you would normally have with projectors and hid's....

Hate to ask a crazy question, but I can get my hand on the lamp connector (can't see it... too low to the floor), but cannot determine how to remove it. Do I pull and wiggle it (c'mon, the connector, you know)? Do I turn/twist it? I am guessing I want to remove the piece that the wires go into.
It's a pain in the ass to change the fog bulbs on the SX
I do all my bulb changes by myself. On my old car, alike this posting, you just simply get under the car and do the install.
When I got under my koup, I found out how much lowered it is then what I thought. I could not fit my head under!
I literally spent 10 min try to get a good feel of the housing and the the two prongs that hold the bulb in place. After that, it was a breeze, but you can't see it, everything is by touch.
I also realized that you can remove the headlight assembly and access the fog bulbs from above and actually see what you are doing.
