Default DIY: Behind the Grille Hella Lights

I'm working on making a custom mount for the Hella 500 or any off road lights that involves no major modification to the Koup.

Write-up coming within the Next few days. It started raining so i had to stop. Here's a Picture of the finished mount so far. All made out of aluminum so it doesn't rust.

The only "modification" that needs to be done is a horn relocation. Horn will be moved to the middle of the grille, or to this mount in between both lights.

PS: please no haters with "Mustang comments" to each their own.

Just FYI:

These mount BEHIND my billet grille (behind the stock grille too)
and
This mount uses exisiting holes. They're the holes that hold your grille to the body using tabs.

Interested to see how this will look. Kind of reminds me of what RRM did to their Koup, except your lights will be behind the grille.

I really want to do a Rally look to my sedan. Love the idea of the lights.

well guys, i got some bad news.

Mount i perfect, but lights are a little big. so i'm either gonna mount them straight, or figure out a cooler mount to have them sit higher

Grave, I wanted to put projectors, but they're not wide enough

Justin, thanks man, but all my effort is going towards a Murano retrofit. its gonne be a legit retrofit with OEM projectors, not lame MH1.

Have you set them behind there to see if you will have enough light shining thru to make it worth it? If you have the stock grille AND the billet, it seems to me this is going to be pointless.

I was thinking this exact set up yesterday. What size are the lights you are using?

Are they bigger than 4"?
