Default Shark Fin

OEM 08 11 Kia Forte AM/FM Shark Fin Antenna New Cerato - eBay (item 200577114242 end time Apr-16-11 23:08:29 PDT)

Whats everyone think of this? Will it fit? I know it shows its for the Forte but I understand some people ordered from different places and things not fitting.

For the Price its not that bad.

The only thing I see missing is that it isnt for Sat. Radio but dont we have a seperate antenna for that in place.

Thanks!

Looks like your going to have to take the whole base of the old off, unlike the others that just cover it. Looks good though. If you order it, put up some pics

This fin has been talked about before...by myself and Linear....search comes in handy...

They do also have a Sirius version, which I am considering ordering...just have a few things to finish first.

Go get one that's on the new optima. You can order then from the dealer but yeah you'll need to remove the whole antenna to install it.

I have heard the the replacement cost of those antennas is crazy. I called Hyundai for the cost of a genesis antenna they said $300...I was like what.....

Although that is a good alternative...and should be investigated further.

Dont order it because they wont fit on the koup. Those listed on ebay will only work for foriegn cars. I ask the dealer from ebay and thats what he told me. I think the best bet is getting the one from kia optima but dammm thats a lot for just an antenna base.

Interesting, this is the same antenna from te Hyundai Sonata, which is the same antenna for the Genny. I bought the same antenna for my Rio, obviously I had to jack the heck out of it to make it work on my car but it was way worth it because this shark fin looks a lot better.

The VG antenna installs in about 15 minutes. I've seen no decrease in FM or Sat reception.

Got mine around November last year and I agree it's just as good as the stock antenna in the terms of reception. My only gripe is that a few months ago I began to notice it separating from the roof at the rear of the fin. Not by much at all, its barely noticeable to me and I drive it everyday.
