removing resinator???

hi wondering if anyone has there resinator removed and if it sounds like a rice rocket which is what i dont want...??

Can anyone tell me what that hopper looking thing on the stock intake in-between the tb and air box is? I am thinking of trying to make my stock intake more efficient by running smooth pipe from tb to air box and from the box to the air intake and adding a k&n. To eliminate the parts of the hoses with ridges and wanted to know if that thing holds any importance.

I am thinking about buying the 2010 kia forte and I was just wondering how it is? I have seen videos, but I don't know what to beleive. This will be my first car so please don't lie haha! If you would answer as many questions as you can it would help a lot!;)
1)How Does it drive
2)how does it do in snow (Live in colorado so huge factor)
3)Do you think it is going to last (first car and cant afford for things to go wrong)
4)is the warranty transferable?
5)Is the sound system good?
6)(Previous kia owners)-How long did your older kia last?
7)Any major problems about it?
8)4 speed Auto transmission okay or get SX with 5 speed?
9) average fuel economy?
10)Recommend it or not?

Gauge cluster?

I have seen that the kia forte koup SX has a temperature gauge when you push the button to the right. (I don't own one and saw it on a video a long time ago so bear with me.) I was just wondering what the gauge shows when you have the sedan? I would think it would be the same, but on all the sedan lists, it doesnt list it so just thought I'd ask. Thanks!

Electronic flasher module HELP!!!!

I bought switchback LEDs and the electronic flasher and put the bulbs in and took out the stock flasher (which took me a while) and now I can't get the new module in and its extremely annoying and I'm about to give up so I need help! Am I missing something? It seemed like it popped out and just put the new one in...not looking that way. Anyone please? And yes I have made sure I aligned the prongs the right way just can't get it in!

Question about light control

I am wanting to put LED lights in my car, and run lights under my car this weekend. The thing is I would like to be able to run them threw the controls for my speaker lights.

I think it would be cool if I could sink them together so they all flashed at the same time.

Has anyone done this or is it even able to be done?

Door Key

Hi guys, I was thinking of getting a key cut just for the doors, and hiding it somewhere on the exterior of the car in case I lose my keys or lock them inside.

So in this case I need the chip in the key, where can I go to get one cut? Do I have to still go through the dealership? I just don't feel like paying $100 just for a door key.

Jeong Sung Eun - Kia Vice Chairman Steps Down!

It's reported Kia vice chairman Jeong Sung Eun has stepped down due to the recall for the Sorento, Borego and Soul. The current recall is not bad compared to other manufacturers, a pretty bold move and if its indeed true then it shows you how serious Kia are taking there quality control. Looks like Lee Hyoung Keun is already taking his place.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System light went on. I checked all four tires and they are all filled to recommended capacity [32PSI]. I would like to avoid a visit to the dealer [half a day wasted] . Is there a 'reset' function?

I have a HTC Hero with Android 2.1 through Sprint... I've had my car for just barely over a month. The first couple weeks I had the car, everything worked fine, I synched my phone to the bluetooth, I could call people, receive calls... all was fine. Then suddenly, out of the blue, it wouldn't recognize anyone in my phonebook. I would say "Call " and it would just keep saying "Pardon" until it gave up. I tried several different names, nothing would work. If I say a number though, it picks that up just fine. So then I upgraded the OS in my phone (it had Android 1.5 in it previously and it was upgraded to 2.1), thinking maybe that would help, plus it needed to be done anyway... I synched my phone again, still won't register any of the names I have in my phone book.

So what'd I miss? I was thinking maybe there was something wrong with the speaker in the car, but people I do talk to can understand me and it picks up the numbers just fine. There's no additional settings in my phone that need to be added; I've gone over everything in my phone several times looking for a little check mark I might be missing. And I can't find anything special in the manual. Anybody else have a similar issue or have any suggestions?

Just noticed the Equus has been reviewed on Autoblog, looks like it ticked all the boxes with a very positive review. I wonder if Kia will follow and release the K9 sometime in the future? Anyone know if they plan too?

Should I complain about tint job?

Ok, I recently got my car tinted last thursday for $200. I went to this place because they are reputable. Well today as I was washing my car I noticed some air pockets due to dust. Should I go complain and get it redone? Or am I just anal? It comes with a lifetime warranty. Here's a pic of the air pockets.
