While enjoying a very comfortable life in my new career path , I've been having lunch with an uncle who's a veteran dealer and manager at a dealership in southside, dodge.... And he is absolutely determined to make me a dodge owner. He has worked a trade in with $500 down , to $35.5k drive off , with payments almost equal to the damage my Koup's making me , and by a 4 dollar gain..... And I've checked my insurance and it's only $19 bucks less friendly than it is now...
For a tungsten gray Challenger R/T Plus , full electronics package , the track whatmacallit package and that cool body package. Manual of course..
This is my drive in and drive out price.. Financed by same company as I am now etc...
I'm not gonna say anymore , I want you guys to offer opinions. Know that I normally choose the Camaro everyday.
My cons are gas , and upkeep... Pros are exhaust , manual transmission , power , AMERICAN , oh and exhaust. Lol stock Challengers sound amazing , even you guys gotta admit this.
I have photos but my laptop sorta , well it kinda got ran over by a golf art.
Challenger all the way. I would try and get an SRT and obv pay a bit more but with your uncle pulling some strings, try it. But I'd still say go with the challenger
I would love a Challenger R/T, or even better an SRT8. And yes, they sound great for a stock exhaust. Solo-Performance makes an exhaust for it that sounds Godly.
Anyways, the decision is up to you, but personally I wouldn't in my current predicament. If you have a steady job and you know you can pay for it all, go for it. But be careful, don't bite off more than you can chew

Oh I can afford this R/T Plus... Just not the srt.. I mean I'm sure if I saved I could put more down to lower the monthly , but I see no reason in it... 370 is more than enough.
I mean I love my koup , but this would kinda make my Koup look like a turtle.

The gas prices will bend you over and make you their bitch (frigging OPEC).
When I was car shopping I was looking at a G8 V8. For a number of reasons I eventually got a Forte. Im already spending over $250 a month on gas with a mixed avg of 26-28MPG.
With a V8 I'd have basically another car payment worth of gas receipts.
It all adds up fast.

The deal sounds super sketchy. I'm sure he's likely giving you a decent deal but it's definitely in his best interest to have you purchase the Challenger. If you buy the Challenger buy it because you want it. Plus, if you wanted the Challenger wouldn't you had bought it in the first place?
Again, his offer sounds super sketchy, do not like.
If the deal really is legit, why not? I don't think you'd be considering it of you didn't like the car. It's a nice car, and you obviously have more pros than cons. Depending on how much you drive and your budget, that gas difference may actually affect you more than you think though, so I'd think about it. As far as being able to pay for the car and your job, you did say the payments for the car itself is basically the same as it is now for your Koup, so that shouldn't matter, so just the gas and maintenance. Not knocking the Koup though. It may be a slower car, but it's still nice. Good luck with your decision.
Well my uncle will cosign. So is not a crappy deal lol that's the only reason it seems the standing loan has disappeared lol. He's the one getting the giant discount on it for me.
And believe me , gas guzzlers are horrible... But the challenger is a gas guzzler... I rate my el camino and about 14 before the 350 , my dads Vicky pulls about 7mpg , with overdrive. I'm used to bad gas mileage. So it's not a giant leap for me..
I kinda wanna wait til he can get me a great deal on the higher package , just blacked out. I know I said who needs 480hp stock. But I thought it over , I'd regret not spending the difference.
So , I think Ima tell him to see which he can get me a better deal on. I'll keep you guys updated. Until then, I'm still sporting the Koup. Better enjoy the automatic Koup while I can lol
Yep. Only reason I wouldn't get the new Camaro even tho I loved the 10 and 11 , is that the '69 Camaro was a one year model. And they are going crazy with it. I truly wish Pontiac didn't shutdown.. Just imagine the GTO reimagined.
If i do buy this , I'm stopping by my muffler man and telling him to redo all the pipes , no cat's cut the cel shit , and throw some flowmasters on it. And that's on day one. Then... I'll just garage the stock pipes.

I like the Chalenger.....the 1970 lol, the new one is nice but really add another 100 a month to your payment for gas. My buddy bought a brand new Camaro, got it home and the motor mounts fell out in the driveway (American). If its your dream car then get it, live and learn, factor in your drive to work and how much you drive a week. You only live once!!!!! However, Doge = short warranty...my 2 cents
