Honda Killed the Civic when they made the 2011-2012.
Subaru Killed the Impreza when they made the 2012-2013
Mitsubishi Killed the Evo when they said the next will be a hybrid
Kia is about to kill the Forte with the 2013 which looks like rio on steroids (in a bad way)
so what's next?
PS: here's the subi i saw today:
Hold on now, give the Subie a chance. Lets see what they do for the WRX/STI treatment. And for the Forte, it might look good, I'm waiting to see before I judge. As for sad Mitsubishi, they killed themselves a LOOOONNNG time ago, its just been a slow death. The fact that the Eclipse and now apparently the EVO are going or are already gone is just more proof. And Honda, well...they seem to be really confused as a whole comapny at the moment, lol!!
I just drove a new Impreza yesterday (I'm always kicking tires) and came away unimpressed. An unexpected reaction, actually, as I have owned a WRX wagon in the past and thought the new restyle looked good on paper. The version I drove was a five-door premium with CVT and a few other options. Sticker price was $23,700.
The most striking aspect of the test-drive was the drivetrain noise; lots more engine/tranny noise than I was expecting. I also wasn't impressed with the quality of interior materials and various interior details. The radio, for example, looks like it came from a twenty year old car. The seats were comfy, but I wonder how my back would feel after a five-hour drive. Power off the line wasn't bad, but the 2-liter isn't going to blow any doors off during a highway passing maneuver.
It's not a bad car, but for the money, there are many alternatives out there.
My Koup will be fore sale once my lease expires. I have no desire to keep it. My next car will either be a sport-coupe (Genesis turbo, 370Z, etc.) or a sport sedan (335, C350, etc.). Two years is a long time away, but the novelty of the Koup has worn off for me.
I enjoy my Mustang a hell of a lot more, and it's not that much more expensive to drive (insurance is actually cheaper on it somehow).

Dodge doesn't look to bad these days, scary to think that, the new dart looks kinda nice and the fiat 500 Abarth is an amazing little car that is bound to under cut the cooper s. KIA will make the koup of the forte look nice, I mean look at the sedan to the koup now. The koup is still fresh looking while the sedan (I hope not to offend) looks rather dated anymore. Hyundai has a few good looking cars and so does ford with the focus st and possible fiesta st (or what ever they're gonna call it). Then there is always VW, the gti still looks nice and the gli honestly looks really proper and clean. So I feel that not all is lost.

Btw don't et me wrong. By saying no more decent cars I meant no more decent econoboxes
Corolla is fugly. And I think the Dart is also extremely ugly. I still love the koup. I got it cash do I can seek it at anytime and by the looks of things, it Gould be gone in about a year.
Fiat 500 is too small and the cooper s is also small and over priced
veloster... honestly though. I'd jump on the optima bandwagon later in life... that car is so sexy.

Your mustang is cheaper because they are actually considered a "family car" like the integra was.. also its a domestic car.. which brings cheaper insurance. Cheaper to fix, cheaper insurance

After college hope to get a sport coupe, but Ramy's right, most econoboxes are lame now.
