The conditions were better MPG wise on the day I took the Forte. But even stock forte to stock optima, optima still wins with harder driving and faster speeds. Blows my mind really lol
That Optima is simply beautiful, I'm sure you won't be disappointed...any mods planned for it?
No mods planned for it yet. The pickings are slim. Not much for suspension right now...
Thinking maybe new rims in the summer? Also want to see how it responds to upping the boost by a couple of PSI...

Good luck with the Optima! Let us now how the tuning goes and when you hit 400hp
Haha it'll be a long time before 400hp...

The mileage is better on the Optima to for all others interested in switching. I got 32 MPG average out of my Optima SX on a 200 mile drive going 80MPH and only 28 MPG on my EX Hatch going 70 MPH on the same drive.
Really? I took my SX Forte on a Road Trip and I averaged 32.6 going 75-80. Leave the thing in cruise control and it does pretty good. I even hit 38 going 70 with cruise control

I did a lot of mountain driving so that could be our variance. Used the same gas as well. Idk. I have a bad forte apperantly lol!
I'm sure you can get 300HP easy with a change in boost.

Congrats on the new ride, looks great. I've sat in a few Optimas and would love to move up one day, in the meantime I'm still very happy with my Forte.
Would you still be interested in coming out in May to Didsbury again for a KIA gathering?

Yea dude, I think I missed you last time you were here but I'd be stoked to get out there
I'm desperately looking for suspension components for the car but can't seem to find anything

Love the optimia, however they are a lot more expensive here in oz,Kia like every other car manufacturer and importer in australia thinks us poor ol consumers will keep taking it up the backside pricewise! 32k rrp for a fully loaded koup!.
On a lighter note the optima is an exellent ride i envy you
The black is super sexy! Tint really finishes it off. Also, did you have it checked for the turbo recall? I picked up my Optimia SX on 12/31/11 and took it in the next week and had it repaired.
