I got pulled over a few weeks ago and when the cop came up to my window he said "this is a kia?" and after talkin for a bit he let me off the hook best day ever haha

I've found that with my CAI on, people seem to assume my car has a turbocharger because the sound is reminiscent of a WRX/boxer engine.

In other words, if i floor it in my KIA, it sounds like a WRX going slow. lol

Ive even had a few people think it WAS a subaru impreza wagon.

A guy who works where I work (not a coworker though) saw my car in the parking lot, he never really speaks but saw me and complimented the Koup, he said he owned a Kia quite a few years ago but it didn't look anything like mine, he said the company has gotten much better at making cars and they are now equal to the Japanese.
Funny note, after leaving work that day I pull out of the lot and a Corsa blue Koup is right behind me, I havent ran into another Koup on the road since I've owned mine, seen a few sedans and 5 doors but my first Koup sighting in the wild...lol.

I get a compliment a week from people I work with. Just recently someone asked me if I clean my car every day because it looks brand new. I've had the car about 6 months and I clean it every other weekend (plus the occasional wax) so it looks pretty nice.

I find that most people tend to overestimate the cost of the car, which makes me feel good about the purchase.

Just got told the stock '10 SX wheels are the nicest looking stock wheels this guy has ever seen.

Best compliment I ever got was from my fiance. I took her to see the car before I bought it. She took one look at it, didn't even look inside, and said buy it. Worst comment was from my brother who said the wheels are ugly. I told him I was sorry but chrome wire spoke rims weren't an available option.

This past weekend I was sitting at a four way stop behind a Malibu. There was another car at the cross street stop and no one was going. I was starting to wonder what was going on then I noticed the guy in the Malibu staring at my car in his rear view mirror.

The first and best comment i've received so far was a week ago Tuesday when i surprised my wife with the car...
she said; "did you have to buy the NICEST CAR on the lot?!?"
my response: "pahhhh-leaze i bought it at a subaru dealership!" still felt like a complement though?
