TweetNew Guy, New to the Koup, and the chicken Koup...
Thought I'd introduce myself.
Just got a 2011 EX Koup last Saturday, it's actually the first new car I have ever purchased in my lifetime (I'm 45 yrs old).....
Loving the car so far, I have never owned anything other than American made cars.
I had sold my 2001 SVT Cobra convertable about a year ago and had been wanting to get something that had a sporty look and feel, loaded with the gadgets, and could get great gas milage as I commute over 100mi round trip daily.
Some point in the past year or so I had seen a few Forte's on the road but only got partial glimpses of them but enough to peak my interest to visit a local Kia dealer.
The local dealer had mostly four door and hatchback Forte's but one lone Koup...in my favorite color...Titanium....
After seeing the Koup I thought the only deal breaker would be is if it drove poorly on my test drive.....that wasn't the case......
I can't believe I pulled the trigger but now its in my driveway...loving the nav and tech goodies, I am impressed with the sound system as well, much better than the Mach 460 in my Cobra.
I took a couple of pics of it as well as my old car. The motorcyle I still own, its a 2000 Honda CBR1100XX and the paint is what Honda calls; Metallic Titanium.
Welcome to the fourms my friend. If you need any help give us a shout. Between all of us I am sure we can answer any question you have.

Welcome welcome! It intrigues me that you have an EX with fogs... that's so peculiar.

Lol! Thanks, never thought I'd feel better about using the word "koup" but it's starting to grow on me.

Yes it has been different, I think my favorite part is the difference at the gas pump....

Thank you!
Being new to this car and not knowing what is what, is there a unified source of options that are/were available for each Koup model by year?
Ok, not sure exactly what the major differences are between the EX and SX models for 2011. From what I have seen on Kia's site the EX is not available with some of these if I'm reading it right.
I'll note what I have on my EX starting with the fog lights, billet fuel door, smart key/pushbutton start, nav system stereo unit, automatic temperature control system, Chrome door handles,Auto headlight option, Sunroof/tilt wheel, Auto dimming mirror, metal gas and brake pedal but no metal footrest pedal cover,(is this normal for an auto?)
Well, I'm just so intrigued... You have the EX wheels and prob the EX engine. But you have EVERYTHING else that comes on an SX. I've just never seen that before.. You've even got the gloss black fascia...

Yes def the 2.0 motor, just had to look at the window sticker to double check...
Sticker says: cargo net, wheel locks as well, thought those were standard but they show as additional equipment.
Yepp.. cargo nets and wheel locks are extra. I am just so taken back by the fact it looks like an SX! Hahaha, well I guess you are lucky! Change up those rims and you'll fool 'em all!

There was another Canadian poster that had listed a 2011 EX that had all of the 2011 SX features, including Copper Orange, fogs, and black facia. Seems like those options are standard in CA. AND they get the R Package on the SX! Not fair
