Default Can't drop more than 2" unless doing major modification ??

Hey, So I contacted my local seller that is offering me a deal on a set of coilover for my Forte Sedan.
When I asked him that I wanted to drop it 3", he told me it couldn't be done on the sedan unless I do modification.

He told me the maximum drop would be 2" if I don't want to do modification under the car.
Can i get confirmation from other guy who have coilover on their sedan? Thanks for you response

It shouldnt matter what body style you have, I know the koup is lower and have seen at least a 2 inch drop on one. Dropping 3 inches would tuck your front tires compromising your turning radius and handling performance. I say go for the 911 wheel gap, look gorgeous on that car!!!

3" drop would be fine for a stationary forte, maybe. it would leave you NO travel in the rear. the front may go down 3" with coilovers and still have travel, but the bumpsteer would be horrendous and the cv joints and boots wouldn't last. neither would the undercarriage after being impacted on nearly every road irregularity. but give it a try, and be sure to let us know how it works out for ya.

Coilover ordered !! They will be installed this summer !

I will see how much I drop it... Probably not 3" , more like 2.5" , 2"
I just don't want any wheel gap !!

Than it's about a 2" - 2.5" drop.

The Koup can handle a 3" drop, not the Sedan.

You can not drop any car any amount without some sort of negative effects, your altering the engineered specs and functionality of the car. Now, as we know people have been dropping cars for years but you do have to modify other aspects because of the effects. In short, dont be surprised if you have to be replacing other suspension parts sooner then intended, and dont expect warranty to cover any of it.

For a 3" drop, coilovers or a custom spindle are usually the best way to go. I love the look personally, but your shop was right, its a tall order without some money and mods to be dropped so you can drive it, somewhat daily.

about a 2 and a half in drop?

have yet to really measure... but around that. Give or take some.

I can't stand 18's though I'm upgrading to 19's so they fill up the wheel well better. I go herrafrush.
