It will tend to be "full" after driving. You need to check it when everything is cool.

Just go ask if your VIN is in the list that needs the TSB for shift reflash. Simple.

Some of you guys crack me up when you try to explain things.

There are three main types of antifreeze on the market. They all contain an ethylene glycol base, water, dye and an additive package. Colored dye is added for leak detection and is not a reliable way of identifying coolant type. The additive package is what makes them different.

Definitely do not mix dexcool (mainly orange) with conventional (mainly green) coolant. They are incompatible. Although a new Hybrid type of Antifreeze has been introduced a while back that can mix with either of the two.

The Hybrid antifreeze has the benefits of both types of antifreeze (longevity and fast acting) with no compatibility issues. (works with all colors)

Now as for checking your antifreeze level, make sure your car has been sitting for a few hours and is cold. The easiest way to check the fluid is to shine a flashlight in the reservoir tank, nudge your car some, and look for the fluid to move. The plastic tank is harder to see through on some cars than others. I can't remember how transparent the plastic is for the forte.

I forgot to add that I personally use the premixed hybrid antifreeze. Its simple to use, just pour it straight from the container into your car. I'm not sure which kind the forte uses, but conventional green antifreeze should be changed out every 2 years or 24,000 miles. Hybrid and dexcool only need changed out every 5years or 150,000 miles. *I wouldn't recommend using dexcool though.

Yeah just pour it into your reservoir tank (make sure it's the correct tank). Although you probably don't need to add any if your dealership said it was fine.
