Wheel Offset

Hi All !!! Question for U...

Hi have a Forte sedan SX with 215/45R/17 (7 inch width) I want to put some 16 inch wheel (from a Mazda) for winter with 205/55R/16 (6.5 width)

The stock SX wheel have a offset of +50 mm and the wheel I want to put have a Offset of +52.5 mm. Is that all ok ???

The bolt pattern (5x114.3mm) & the hub size (67mm) is the same.

My concern is the offset 50 mm to 52.5 (+2.5 mm) ....

You probably wouldn't notice 2.5 mm if it was an increase in the length of your nose.

Seriously, it's a nit. If you were trying to cram the largest wheel you could fit in there you might start worrying about a couple of mm.

Since the Mazda rim is 1/2 inch narrower than the Kia, if it had exactly the same offset as the Kia it would be 1/4 inch narrower on each side. Since the offset is different by less than 1/4 inch the Mazda wheel will still stick out slightly less than the Kia wheel.
