I have no idea but that's an amazing find. I have an iPod touch and I'm assuming that app will eventually makes its way over to Apple. I don't have a Samsung Galaxy so I can't verify anything. Feel free to ask your dealer they're there to serve you, and if you ask them and get an answer on how to, please post the information lol.
English is one of the dominant languages in Singapore lol. Anyways later this weekend I'm going to visit my friends on the Singapore Forte website and ask them about this. I'll see if I can find a way to get this app. Basically it just seems like the app uses bluetooth to access the car's computer to get information. But like all car companies, they like to try different things out in different regions to measure popularity in that region and to fit that region's needs. A couple examples for Kia would be the SX-R in Canada, having a 1.6L EX and 2.0SX in Singapore and now this new app. Hey Mark definitely hit up your dealership and ask them about this, I'll try to ask around and see what I can dig up.
Ha! My family is from singapore.. Mwhahahaaa. Wait, so whats the problem again...? :P

I have a BT OBDII adapter connected and use an app called Torque. The difference is what your vehicle reports. My set up will report anything that the vehicle sends out via OBDII. That is, it lacks some of the things mentioned in the article which I'm guessing they will add to the newer vehicle's themselves.
Another difference is simply what their app tracks. The odometer is not difficult to record. Then then simply use this to track things such as oil changes and tire wear (though, I think I can simply look at the tires and know when they need to be replaced). It does look like they have released their app... just not in English:

It's been awhile so I don't remember for sure. Probably FocalPoint.com
How big is it?
Do you leave it in all the time?
Do you knock it with your knee getting in or out?
from what i've seen they run about 3" long which will stick out a little bit. i suppose you could move the OBDII plug from its mount and tuck it all up under the dash.

Now your getting a little personal, don't you think.

I bought a orange and blue one like in the video which people say are better. I'd say it's about 2" long. It does stick out a little but I've never hit it in 6 months. I forget that it's even there. I don't think hitting it is an issue. I just leave it connected all of the time. I have thought about loosening up the connector and seeing if I could turn it sideways but it's just never been an issue.

Nice. I might have to grab one. Nice thing is it'll work for all of my cars so it's def worth the money. They look to be going for about $20 on ebay.

From what I can tell, it's powered by the car, no batteries?
Hadn't thought about that. I'll have to go out and grab a peak at it and see if it's the same connector.
