At first I thought they were kinda harsh, but than again the stock ride was too but now everythings broken in a little, springs at 3k, car at 4k miles, I'd say it's a good ride, no rubbing and my car sits level, if anything the back seems a couple mm higher, I like my Eibachs so far ( we also have pretty decent roads here)

You might as well add the UltraRacing bars while you're doing the springs. I got the rear sway bar and man with ESC off the car is a blast to push.

I had a problem. I'm a noob when it comes to naming car parts so excuse my horrible details. I was hearing a noise coming from the front. Sounded like metal rubbing and rattling. I lifted the car on the jack to see what was the problem and one of the bolts(not sure what it's called) popped off. I've had the springs on for about 20k miles. This could have been my fault for a couple of reasons.
1. I didn't get an alignment
2. I didn't get the camber bolts
3. This happened after driving around in San Francisco( andman some of those slopes are ridiculous!)
It was somewhat easy to fix. Just squeezed the ball joint back into the socket and it's been fine since.
Hope the picture clears up my vague description

you can see the rod sticking out to the right and the empty spot where it should be screwed in

Question

As stated previously, the stock ride isn't all that bad, but this car is no luxury platform to say the least. I know that when I switched out and lowered on previous projects it made the ride a lot ruffer.

Has the majority of people who lowered kept the stock shocks and if so, how bad is the ride?

If anyone has changed out their shocks, what did they go with.

Fire away...

I'm going to investigate this answer. I would love to lower my ride but the SX is pretty rough and I don't want it any rougher, but don't want to lose the sportiness in corners. But if someone wants to answer here, i'll bet watching too! (I'm thinking ARK springs, just for the little extra drop).

Just got some arks a couple days ago. they have the perfect drop. More money then the eibach though.
