Save on gas with morning fill-ups? Don?t bet on it

Some facts... not just a photo that you found on the Internet (which could be from anything anywhere)

( Law ? Overseas Chinese Web Guide )

Regardless, the decal is correct... it just not make enough of a difference to matter (i.e. best situation, might amount to $31/year. More likely to yield far less or nothing)

I ONLY did an internet search to provide the decal quickly as I don't fill up often.
Also, difference of amount saved or wasted is based on each individual, depending how often they fill up or how much money they could save. (Opportunity Cost)

I read the consumer reports article, pretty interesting, they did say it is true but at a small amount. Then on the test done in CT, after the first few gallons were pumped the fuel temperature varied very little. They also said they didn't see a big penalty for the consumer, if there was no penalty than this would have been said instead.

All in all, good information provided by tcope.

btw, guys i was thinking of getting this K&N performance air filter

K&N 33-2380 High Performance Replacement Air Filter

Amazon.com: K&N 33-2380 High Performance Replacement Air Filter: Automotive Amazon.com: K&N 33-2380 High Performance Replacement Air Filter: Automotive

would performance gain from this upgrade, also this wouldn't violate any of the warranty agreement right?

It will NOT void your warranty.
You'll get slightly better throttle response with it. I'm running on the stock filter and have great response. But if you need a new intake filter might as well buy that or the AEM filter. The AEM is washable and doesn't require oil. 28-20380 - AEM , AEM DryFlow Air Filter

I have always been an AEM person; I'm brand loyal, but the AEM doesn't require oil on the filter. It functions the same as they are both drop in filters.

well i guess it not having require oil is a huge plus, ive read about people screwing up their MAF(which i have no idea what it is) when oil starts to drip/leak

also, can you provide me a link on where you can get it? tried amazon it only gave me one link lol

The whole oil thing has been proven to mess up MAF sensors, but we dont have those on our cars, we run on MAP sensors. So no worries about that, though I would still be carefull about alot of oil either way.

Youll have to check with your dealer and have them run your VIN to see if your car was effected by the TSB and if it has been done.

Do a web search using "AEM 28-20380" to find retailers.

The best deal I've seen was $39 on some knock off website. $40 on amazon sounds good. I would probably get it. But one thing does bother me about that link, it states the brand as K&N in two places.
