Default 215/45/17 vs 235/40/17

Has anybody tried 235/40/17 tires on their lowered/slammed setups (stock tires for the SX are 215/45/17)? I'm considering getting wider, lower profile tires so that my speedometer won't be thrown off but I'm concerned about rubbing. I'm currently lowered exactly 2.3" and want to go a tad lower but the meat on my 45 series tires rubs when I go over bumps on the freeway, even with -2 degrees of camber in the front. I know that there are a few people here that have had 215/40 tires on their 9" rims, but what about 235's? If you have any pics, that would really help. Thanks

That is the R package spoiler only available in Canada. It is a KIA Canada part so your local dealer can get it for you. You can search SXR build thread for a part number.

I think I might try out either 205/40 or 215/40 tires. 235's would be a little too squared off and cause clearance issues.

215/40 should be enough, im running 215/40 on 8.75 35 offset and max on coils and they clear fenders

On your 18" rims? 205/40 with my 17x8.5" rims would put my front lip nearly an inch or 2 away from the ground.
