Which is a pretty good deal for $7.99 (pending the dealer).
sadly I looked up the k&n when I got home and saw they were basically the same
I think the mobil1 was just a dollar cheaper than k&n at AA though, if I remember correctly
and the dealers a good 20 mile drive from here lol, I try to not go up there very much
aside from the fact the parts people are clueless about my car
I asked if I could get the 16" soul stock alloys and the guy said yeah I guess you might be able to, you'd have to find out if the centercap fits though, ask the service dept
shouldn't he know or be able to look up the offset of the wheels if its a product of theirs? he does work in parts after all
lol
and they over tightened both the oil pan bolt and the oil filter last time, when they changed my oil
seriously took me an hour and a half to change oil and filter today, 75% of the time was spent trying to break those two free lol
and they also know a lot less about my car than I do, and deal with 6 or 7 brands, not just hyundai/kia
really nice people, and the salesman I bought from was REALLY good at his job.
but yeah I dont go up there much, sorry for the digression=]

thinking I might try synthetic from now on, never used synth in a car before though. is it worth it?

this guy has a pretty good unbiased review of several oil filters, and seems to recommend either the mobil 1 or k&n overall

k&n IS a bit pricey but its also a brand name I'm familiar with and have grown to trust

just change the engine oil and filter on my car at 3300 miles. I'm very curious on why it says to add 4.5qts of oil but when i added Castol syntec 5w-20 at 4.5qts the damn dipstick was still reading low. I waited a few minutes let the oil settle in and chekced again and was still reading low so i added the remainder of the oil which totaled out to be 5qts. I waited again and still was reading low. WTF is going on? I even cranked the engine on let it ran for about a min or 2 shut it off. A few minutes later still reading low. While removing the bolt on the oil pan i did notice just a slight bit of an oil leak around the pan and bolt but nothing drastic at all. Long story short how many qts are you guys adding to your forte koup 2.4L SX?

How level was the ground where you measure the oil level at?

If you have a "slight" oil leak around the oil pan, it would probably be a good ideal to have your dealer check it out. I would.

I think the ad list the extended performance oil is $5.00 more in small print. Still a good buy.

i mean it wasn't leveled you know what i mean but it was fine. That just threw me off when i added 5qts. My buddies and i were like uuumm is still reading low...but i will look under the oil pan today and find out whether it was an oil leak or grease or something man. Is just is hard to believe you know it's a brand new car. But ty for your reply.
