So I drive a 2010 forte koup (manual) and since i've owned it, it's had the problem of when in 1st it tends to stutter (almost like mini bunny hops) when at low RPMs- about 1000-2000, at higher RPMs it's a non existent issue. It seldom happens in 2nd gear too, never in any of the other ones.
Also note that it also happens when I am coming to a stop (eg, i'm in 1st gear slowing down - not touching any pedals) and it will stutter a little bit before i put the clutch in.
I'm not even sure if 'stutter' is the right word to describe it, miniature bunny hops is probably better.
When I am coming to a stop I usually hold the clutch in and keep it in neutral. Then pop it into gear and go when the lights green.
It sounds like whats happening is the car is about to stall. But i'm no mechanic and maybe someone with better knowledge can help.

I can assure you that the car is not about to stall when it's happening. It's like the car shakes back and forth slightly several times.
When it does happen, there's never an issue; it'll do it for a few seconds until the revs get up and it settles, all the while never having a risk of stalling, it's sort of similar, but different.. hard to explain and frustrating
i think i know what you mean, i have it too sometimes, its almost like the car ALMOST gives up and gets back up again which is odd cause i stay above well above idle rpm when taking off
Dont worry it happens to me too i have a 2010 koup 2.0 manual and it does the same thing as you describe.
I just dip the clutch and let it die off to idle and slowly let out again or short shift to second im not sure what causes it but i have gotten used of it
I'm in neutral with clutch pedal not depressed when slowing down, and I can feel it at VERY low speeds sometimes. felt to me almost like it was brake-related, just a really slight wiggle...
