Going to school today i noticed that doing the speed limit on 95 which is 75 my koup is pushing 3,000 rpms in 6th gear, it seems high and wanna know if yals koup is doing the same...normal?

That's not super high, although I've done about 2500-2700 RPM, but I wouldn't panic.

I've always run at about 3k rpm going along the freeway (110-120km/h here in Aus), and not just in the Koup.

I should add: mine is only a 5speed

I remembered this post while I was driving to work. 2012 2.0 EX, 75 mph is approximately 2,500 rpm.

BLFORTE good looking out, thank you.. and i called the dealer ship and they said its normal...gotta get use to driving these 4cyl

Seems a little high. I was cruising at 85 and it stayed right around 2500. Brought it up to 90 and it still wasn't at 3000. Drove at 75 at it consistently stays at 2250. I had a three hour drive to watch this lol.

BTW I have a 2011 5 door sx. all pretty much the same across the board just wanted to let you know.

Thanks scottie, everyones post is different. And the dealership will just say the same thing (that its normal) so will see, hopefully more people post... im wondering if it has anything to do with being brand new still in its Break in miles? the only reason im concerned is what if i had to do a road trip, is running ur car for hours at 3000 plus rpms bad?

It could be, but it is no cause for alarm you can be sure of that

. Integras do 3,000k on the high I think it is the gearing that does it really.

Just looked at my '10 6sp Koup, and at 3k I was doin 90MPH or slightly over.

I can do 85 mph @ 2.5k RPM or less.

2011 5-door EX 6 spd auto

I drive on the interstate everyday, and constantly check (cuz I'm a paranoid mofo) lol.

Hm... i've also noticed that too, but played it as normal (maybe I need to check that out).

I've got 2011 EX 6spd and run around 3k @ 100kph

Seems high to me. I got a 2010 Koup SX 6spd and I only run 2300 @ 100k/hr. Maybe you need the extra rpm because its a 2.0
