Default Coolant loss

I have a 2010 Forte EX sedan with 76,000 miles. The last 3 or 4 oil changes I've had to add between 1/2 qt, and 1 qt of anti freeze. I don't see any signs of leaks, no sign of water in the oil, and no vapor from the exhaust. (not that any vapor would be visible with 1 qt/6000 miles) Does anyone else have this issue? There's never been any coolant on the garage floor either. The last several vehicles I've owned, I rarely had to add any coolant. (1989, 1991 Dodge Caravan, 1999 Plymouth Voyager, 2002 Ford Focus) I bought the Forte last February, with 46,000 miles, and have added about a gallon of anti freeze since I got it.
thanks,
Mike

I had the dealer look at it about a month ago, and they didn't find anything wrong.

same here. i've only had to add like .5 QT in 20,000 mile. dealer pressure tested it at 20 PSI for 30 minutes

After having a similar problem with my previous BMW, it turned out to be a cracked head. No sign of any problem, but I finally determined I was getting exhaust gas into the coolant. Something is certainly not right with your car. The first thing I would check is the water pump, since the seal could be leaking slightly and not causing drips on the floor, but look closely to see if it is damp near the water pump shaft.

Did the dealer pressure test the system to see if there were leaks? If they didn't, it may be worth your while to have an independent shop do it. If they find something (water pump, head gasket, etc) bring it to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty.

I have about 30k miles on my car and have to add zero coolant. A half pint every now and then is normal, but not a quart every oil change.

Also check the lines and hoses going to your heater core.

it has to be going somewhere. if you can find no leaks, do an oil analysis through Blackstone Labs. i found a head gasket had a minor leak this way. the oil wasn't visibly contaminated but turned out to have 2.5% coolant in it after 2k miles. good luck
