Default Over rev or stall on first gear.

Hey everyone, so I'm having difficulties on first gear. I'm either over revving causing whip lash or I'm under revving causing the car to stall. I have driven all kinds of manual vehicles from Honda civics to sterling flat bed trucks and have never had so much difficulty. Does anyone have any tips. Thanks

Rev the engine and fight the right spot. Get used to the sensitive gas pedal. The comment I get all the time is how sensitive the gas pedal is. If I drive without shoes on you'd think I was handicapped cause I don't have the right feel for it. Watch the revs.

Every clutch and accelerator is different. I've been driving manual for 7 years and every time I switch cars I usually over rev or stall the first time and then find that sweet spot. You just got to move slow at first until you find it and BOOM! =]

BEST THROTTLE MOD.

otherwise, after a while you'll get used to it, and once the clutch is broken in it'll have a slight feel to it.

The mod definitely helps. But, the throttle is too aggressive and too light, making shifts tough.

Throttle mod is AMAZING.. but even with the mod the sensitivity is a little ridiculous.. you're either driving as fast as you can all the time or driving extremely slow.. which translates into wasting tons of gas or saving a ton of gas.. choose wisely haha

I've managed to tame my car lol. The trick is like everyone says is to find the sweetspot.. Most of my stick shift experience is in Porsches and other sports cars and I still stalled this thing on the first drive out of the dealer!!! Lol

Stalled mine on the way out of the dealer lot too lol. Aside from second gear which I absolutely hate even after a year of daily driving the 2.4L 6MT, once you drive it a few months you won't have any problems.

All I can say is that it takes time, they are touchy. You just have to figure out what works best for you. It took me about a month before I finally got every start smooth.
