Default Cruise control not working?

Anyone else having this problem? Cruise light will come on, but I cannot "set" the cruise. Set light won't come on anymore. Worked when I used it last but not yesterday.

I've checked, there is no cruise fuse.

Im thinking this hasn't worked since i adjusted my pedal for the dead spot. Can anyone who's done this mod confirm their cruise is still working?

I've had no issues after adjusting and readjusting my throttle. Did you go full forward too? I didn't like the way my engine was on the diagnostics (advanced timing) and backed the switch off from full forward. Still have no problems.

Try getting your ECU read -- check for any codes present. Even an emissions code can make it so your cruise doesn't work. If you are near an Autozone they usually read codes for free.

I've had this happen on a few different occasions and found that after tapping the brake pedal a few times, it works fine. Not sure if it's a faulty switch or what but it's not frequent enough for my to take it to the dealer.

Girlfriend was learning how to drive and stalled with cruise on and that seemed to F it up for a bit; but as per usual, after a few restarts, it reset itself and works fine now. Must be a computer glitch within the cruise system.

Not sure if this pertains to the 6-speed, but when I took my EX Eco (5-speed auto) to the dealer for the airbag reprogram, there was also a bulletin out for the cruise control so they went ahead and "fixed" that too. I am not sure exactly what the issue might have been, I had not had any problems with my cruise control, but there is a "fix" at the dealer that is under warranty (for the 5-speed auto, anyway).

Unhappy Cruise Control Issue

When I approach traffic, I turn off my cruise, but once it clears up, I try to turn it back on and numerous times, the cruise light won't even turn on! I have noticed that when this happens, the "ECO" light also does not turn on. I took it in for service to complain this issue twice already but they say they cannot do anything unless I can duplicate it again..which of course when I need it to turn off to show them, it works perfectly fine -_-. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Well, I've seen this happen with my 6spd. If you are resting your foot on the clutch AT ALL it won't engage. I know someone mentioned that earlier but, there it is. DON'T TOUCH THE CLUTCH. If you have an auto, well, good luck, I don't know what to tell you.

This same issue has just happened to me, I even turned the car off and restarted it but it still wouldn't work. I then waited 5 minutes while driving along then hit set and cruise worked again.
There must be a glitch somewhere in the system
