More details can be found in the 2.4 forum under Electrical Problems thread.

I've had the exact same issue as well... of course my dealership always said "theres no problem it works"
Anyways since then i've also experienced electrical issues with my Sunroof switch and dome lights, as well as the volume control on my steering wheel triggering my bluetooth to listen.
After taking my car into 401 Dixie kia (Great service team there!) They actually took everything apart and tested everything, they were boggled as to what could be causing these odd issues, however they did order me a new sunroof switch (console with the dome lights as well) to be replaced (still waiting for the part to come in) .
Thats about it... the Horn issue is still a mystery!

I noticed that my horn starts acting up whenever it rains or after I wash my car. Possibly a defective horn itself, not related to wiring.

Lately I've had some weird issues with my forte koup sx.
The other day every time i would start driving or slow down to a stop, the auto locking doors would unlock and lock again and repeat the process with hesitation probably 2 or 3 times every time i slowed down and every time i sped up. After turning the car off for 15 minutes it didn't do it again.
Also I have noticed a weird high pitched errrrrrrrrr noise every time i would turn the motor off. Reallly weird!!! it hasn't done it now for a couple days. I'd like to add that I have DDM 35w HIDS, a Cold air intake, and a stereo system if these might be the cause which i believe is highly unlikely. BUt you never know. And I already put back the stock intake an prepped the car to take her in for some warranty. But I haven't experienced either of the problems since. Anyone had any of these issues???

ok Please don't laugh, My warranty issue is the chrome peeling off my temp control knob. It actually cut my finger, much like a paper cut. Dealer ordered and just waiting for time for me to get it installed.

I had a Cylinder missfire TSB flash, it dramatically improved the shifting response, acceleration, and shifting transition. I have an auto koup.

I've noticed a rough idle on mine lately, but no service engine light. Were you getting misfire codes before the TSB flash?

No codes. You'll just notice that the car loses power, loss of acceleration when you press the pedal.

I believe you may have missfirings too, your situation doesnt sound like mine, but once, I had a car which iddled to rough because the coil pack (where you connect spark plugs) had a crack thus making the plugs not burning gas correctly or even burning more gas than usual. I also never got a code with that car neither.

Go to your dealer and tell them that you car is not working properly and tell them to do a TSB flash, and / or inspect the spark plugs and connections.

I've noticed also a little rough idling, is it normal? or should I get it checked? At Idle such as red lights there is ever so sliiight trembling. I can't remember if the car had it before or if it has only been recent. Can anyone tell me if this is normal?

I have had really minor issues with my car. '10 SX Koup

Day one of taking her home, the window trim was a bit stretched out, and left a ripple down the side of the window, was replaced in a couple days.

second was, I noticed a weird buzz whenever I would start my car, and rest at idle at lights, etc. Turns out this was the screw in my shifter gear indicator label plate (I think that's what it's called) coming loose. I would take my hand off the shifter every time I came to a stop lol. Dropped in, again fixed in a few minutes with loc tite.

I have since left said dealership, I intend to do a full writeup at a later date to inform current and future Kia customers of what I went through, but I want to make sure I have a clear head first (2 days and I'm still seething).

NOW, My sister has a EX sedan, and from about 2 months in until now, she has this weird buzzing noise coming from the passenger side of her dashboard. It sounds like if you held a pencil in a moving fan. It would start at ignition, go for about 30 secs to 2mins at idle, start again under acceleration. It goes away after the engine hits 3-3.5k in 2nd, right about the shift point into 3rd. It doesn't go on again unless we come to a complete stop and idle for more than 10 secs. Rinse, Repeat. We had it taken to another dealership and they could not find anything immediately wrong with the vents, fans, or anything immediately accesible. The only thing they could really resort to was taking my sister's car for 4 days and completely disassembling and reassembling the dashboard. Unfortunately, my sister has a particular need for her car all the time and cannot spare any time without it. The dealership would not offer her any sort of loaner car in the meantime.

My sister has somehow found some sort of dial combination, heat dial at mid heat, fan speed at 1 and vent type set to defog and feet.. and the noise does seem to go away after initial startup.

ergo, that case remains unsloved... for now... unless anybody out there has any suggestions. I would REALLY appreciate it.
