Took it in Friday for the first scheduled service. I checked out the car Thursday night and I found a small oil stain just above the pan seal to the right of the exhaust piping. Brought it up to dealer but they claim there is no leak. I'll just keep my eye on it I guess.

When i play a dvd using the aftermarket car dvd the screen does not show dvd movie or content but i can only hear the sound.Luckily the car dvd is under the one year warranty.
purchased my koup in april 2011.
so far had the drivers side led indicator light replaced. had to fight with the dealer as they said the bulbs are not covered, i told them that it was not a bulb but a led light. so phoned kia south africa and they agreed to replace it.
next was the windscreen washer motor broke, also replaced, no prob.
had cars for over 20 yrs and never had a washer motor go
NOW, My sister has a EX sedan, and from about 2 months in until now, she has this weird buzzing noise coming from the passenger side of her dashboard. It sounds like if you held a pencil in a moving fan. It would start at ignition, go for about 30 secs to 2mins at idle, start again under acceleration. It goes away after the engine hits 3-3.5k in 2nd, right about the shift point into 3rd. It doesn't go on again unless we come to a complete stop and idle for more than 10 secs. Rinse, Repeat. We had it taken to another dealership and they could not find anything immediately wrong with the vents, fans, or anything immediately accesible. The only thing they could really resort to was taking my sister's car for 4 days and completely disassembling and reassembling the dashboard. Unfortunately, my sister has a particular need for her car all the time and cannot spare any time without it. The dealership would not offer her any sort of loaner car in the meantime.
My sister has somehow found some sort of dial combination, heat dial at mid heat, fan speed at 1 and vent type set to defog and feet.. and the noise does seem to go away after initial startup.
ergo, that case remains unsloved... for now... unless anybody out there has any suggestions. I would REALLY appreciate it.[/QUOTE]
I had a buzzing noise when i bought my 2010 koup, the dealer looked and told me it was a leak in the power brake hose. they ordered the part an had it installed in 2 weeks and havent had a problem with it since.
But now i have a clicking sound in my engine. It started only when the car was warm but now does it all the time, i looked and the cheap oil the dealership put in was crystalizing. I just bought full syn and a k&n filter . i also grabbed a bottle of Lucas full syn oil stabilizer to add aswell for tomorrow. and hope this fixes the sound
The dealer I bought mine from said if I put any after market wheels it would void my warrenty. Lol. Bull sh.

I had a Dell Vostro 1510 with the Geforce 8400 . Exactly 1 week after my warranty expired , the Graphic card crashed . After some research i came to knew that Geforce 8 series had manufacturing defects .
Dell asked 15k for replacing motherboard . I tried to get an intel GMA based motherboard which they did not agree to .
I still remember i argued for 1 hour with dell manger for this . In this case both dell and nvidia were at fault . My argument was that the product was defective from the start and would fail sooner or later .
Got the motherboard replaced with a Intel based one for 6k from a local Computer shop .
Mine has been in once to have the lower block rebuilt. The crank shaft was bent and was shaving away at the block. And I had the same issue with the bodyshop ordering parts from Kia when I got in a wreck. It took 4 weeks.
took my 2012 Koup SX in to the local dealer to have my airbag system checked out b/c of a the airbag light being on, turned out that something slid under the seat and was pinching one of the wires and tripping one of the pressure sensors. reset the system and adjusted the wires underneath the seat and prob fixed...point is...watch what you put under the seat cause it can cause problems with the airbag system.
also while I was there had some "RECALL" work done
1. Battery termainals were replaced.
2. ECU reflashed for a P200a CODE for a timing issue with the intake plenum butterfly valves.
This winter I noticed hearing a tinny gurgling noise when the heat was on and fan on low. Did it every night for a month, until I took it to the dealer of course ;p Haven't heard it since... heater core maybe? Never have heard that sound before and I'm around Honda's and Acura's all day long.
Lets see I have a 2010 forte sx 2.4 ltr. Had it in for the cooling fans, also the gear rack was replaced. Metal inlay on the shifter was peeling and that was replaced I have 33000 on it already. But the kia dealership was great.
stop in at the local dealership because my koup sx windows are freezing due to water getting past the trim and freezing. they said untill a TSB comes out, they cant do any thing
i also once again brought up the transmission shift issue, and same answer
