I wouldn't assume that, limodude. Sure it wouldn't harm your warranty if your stereo stopped working, but if you go into the dealership with a blown engine, Kia can possibly claim it was due to over compression or excess strain on internal engine parts. Adding a turbo to an engine designed to be naturally aspirated is probably against warranty.

My dealer won't touch any mods, and say they will void any powertrain warranty, CAI or anything, due to some jackoff in a Civic SI who forgot to put in a check valve and seized his engine. After that, our Honda/Nissan/Kia dealer said NO to mods. It blows!

Its not up to the dealership. Its up tp KOA, kia of america. AND...they would have to prove that the part u installed caused the problem. They cant just void your warranty because you install a CAI. Why do people think this? Yes, If you hydro-lock your motor because of the CAI it will void your "WARRANTY CLAIM" Once again!!!.....There is no such thing as a voided warranty! There are only warranty claims. Everything is case by case.
