I just got my Forte SX Hatch a week ago. Its really nice, but I wanted to know what kind of mileage you guys are getting? I mean right now my car has less than 400 miles on it so its not even broken in and Its getting 22 in mixed driving. Does the eco mode even work, because I've heard it go both ways. Thanks in advance
I got a SX Koup and I get mixed driving 26.5 and high only I get 30. And I've got 5500 miles on her.

I just can't go stock, if it's 2wd lower it if it's 4wd then lift it.
2012 Corsa Blue KOUP SX AT Leather. Mods are 6000 35 watt lows and fogs, Switch Backs, Super Bright 18-SMD 360 degrees LED's on the rear turn signals,Audi Lights, Ultra Blue Reverse LED's, DayTime Fog Light Mod, Rebadged K Badges all the way around, 30% tint on all the side and 20% Tint on the back window
I've got a 2010 SX 5-spd Auto w/7500 miles. I do mostly in-town driving & get about 24mpg. I've gotten as much as 35mpg on the hiway. The "Eco" indicator has not effect on your mileage. It's for informational purposes only.
With my '10 SX, I tend to gun it quite a bit with the few mods I've done as the power is just soooo addicting, lol. Even with romping it in mostly town/backroads driving, I still manage about 19-21 MPG.
I don't know why everyone is complaining about the mileage on these vehicles.. I have a 2012 Koup SX M/T with 1500KM on it and i've averaged 8.8-9.4L/100km which is a blessing for a car that is so much fun to drive and so cheap to maintain.
46L gives me 500KM and any car i've driven that's given me better results was boring as shit to drive...
Your mileage should improve a bit as the engine breaks in.
My 2011 SX hatch is getting ~30 MPG on the highway @ ~9K miles on the clock. When 10% ethanol content and other winter oxygenates are factored in, this MPG is about equal to the EPA number.
Thanks for responses guys. I turned off the eco mode and drove a bit more light-footed and its getting 26.1 in city driving now. But then again, all the surface streets here have a speed limit of 55 MPH, so that might have something to do with it as well.

Our cars have a very sensitive gas pedal, make sure your foot is completely off the gas when it can be, it really makes a huge difference.
I'm not sure about your trim but the 2012 koup sx has a little gauge that shows you what your current L/100km or MPG is and it helps understand the way the car works a lot!

2010 SX Koup, 5spd auto, 3500 miles. Seen as high as 34mpg, but that was highway, using cruise, at 65mph. With cruise around 75mph can still get about 29-30mpg. Having fun or being late to work, AKA 85mph+ the number drops down to around 21mpg. Pretty much the moment you hit about 77mph and the ECO light no longer comes on, the mpg jumps off a cliff.

My #1 isn't any sillier than half the "#3 in NA"s on here.

Yea, mine has the instantaneous fuel economy gauge as well. I've been using it to sort of train myself into getting better mileage. I agree with the gas pedal thing, but I don't mind it. It surprises me how much pull the car has at times, much better than my old Scion tC
