i Just got the 2012 koup 6sp and for some reason 1st to 2nd theres always a jerk idk why but i have about 1/2 inch OR more dead spot in the gas pedal which is killing me cause its hard to or impossible to master the dead spot...any help?

road noise? mostly on highway i just turn the music up tho...

Actually since 2011 they switched over to a mono tube shock where the 2010s had a dual tube shock. The other change was a change to damper rates(increased). I don't know about the spring rates.

Where'd you find this little tidbit out??? How would this effect the handling, if at all?

Search for "throttle mod"....... easy 0$ fix!!

If you check I think it's Kia media's spec docs it'll show Monotube. I forget which publication also talked about the revision.

If yo ulook at the part numbers and dig really hard you'll see the change damper rates. It's not night and day but I bet it reduces the jitters.

Throttle mod is a must man. Got rid of the dead spot and all the jerking. Huge difference for MT. Its free and took about 15 min

I have not noticed any "cold weather creases" on my 2012 Koup SX and she has sat outside overnight in sub-20 degree weather a few times. I think Kia might have fixed the crease issue on the new models.

Also, I just noticed yesterday that the speaker/spacer assemblies in my 2012 are bolted to the doors, not riveted as in previous years. Convenient...
