Hit the speed limiter in my Forte SX Koup 2.4L 6 speed manual at 137 MPH today. im dissapointed that there is even a limiter on the manual trans. it has plenty of gear left. that was in 5th gear around 5500 rpm. to anyone wanting to know, the limiter on my Koup SX is 137 MPH, and I will assume that is the same on all other 6 speed manuals 2.4L
Prepare to be flamed...than again alot of those people aren't here anymore...I would just tell you to say you were at the track but the forte can't break 100 in the 1/4 mile.
That is interesting however...at least it let's you get close to what the speedo reads as the top speed.
BtW, that wasn't on the stock goodyears I hope, a blow out at that speed would not be pretty

That's not bad 137mph. Remember my dad and other old guys saying that old V8 cars from the 60s and 70s use to hit actual top speeds with no limiters at 115 125mph with 4spd manual trannys, but the cars weighed heavy and weren't stream lined and unless you had a huge V8 like a Boss Mustang, Hemi powered Dodge, or Corvette ya would hit 140 150mph that's stock now.
I haven't even hit triple digits yet :/ the roads I'm on mostly are back roads and the highways I'm on have cops all over the place so I don't wanta risk it
130ish around 4am on a Sunday with minimal traffic on CA-99. Fucker in this Lexus, (ES or something i think? *shrugs* i don't know Lexus too well) was really asking for it. He nearly clipped a few cars while doing 90mph+, including mine, before i decided to play with him. CHP is non-existant that early. I floor it, intent showing him how things are done, he REALLY doesn't like being overtaken on the right by a KIA. His ego is doing the driving now. By the time i was done, he was driving like he owned a prius; that sorta happens when you nearly plow into the back of a Nissan Titan at triple digits and have to find out just how good your brakes really are.
That reminds me, this should go in my "LoL he mad!" thread

My #1 isn't any sillier than half the "#3 in NA"s on here.
That is crazy and dangerous! You could kill yourself or even worse, someone else! Have you no respect for yourself or the others? Cars are not toys! Blah blah blah!!! Hahahaha someone had to say it!! F*ck it dude....go faster!!! I wanna do a buck fitty in this bitch when I'm done with the engine!! More power to ya!! I got up to 125 before I ran out of road. On a side note.....the brakes on this car are pretty much useless once you go over 115mph lol

I have hit 132 on the stock tires but since I have upgraded the highest I can get is around 120. My Michelin Pilot Super Sports have too much grip to go much faster!!!
