Here is my Sedan, I know it is not as cool as the above car but it is my pride and joy, if oyu have any input as to what else I can do please let me know, to the above gentleman, where did you get the intake kit, that is sooooooooooo cool. Thanks Steve
the only problem I see, Soar4fun, is that you have no cold air going to the intake. You put it in the same area as the oem and now is only getting hot air from the engine, since you removed the that air dam. I'll wait for AEM to come out with something.

The poll has been added! Please vote for your favorite Forte for the month of January. Voting will close on Jan. 31st and the member with the most votes will be awarded Kia Forte of the Month for January. (In the case of a tie our staff will be the tiebreaker vote)

Did you see the thread where he put it on the dyno? Lots of discussion about all the options.
I spoke to Ken @ AEM and I will be leaving the car with them later this week for two-weeks. They will prototype an exhaust and CAI for the car while they have it.
The good news is that it will be free for me. The great news is that it will lead to the tribe having access to a quality intake and exhaust system from a named vendor.
Getting AEM involved will help drive other products and mods from other vendors for our cars! Competetion drives better performance for our rides.

Awesome news soar4fun!!! I assure you the Forte Community is extremely happy and thankful for all the time and resources you've dedicated to projects like this!!

Yes I did. How often do you drive with the hood up? The gains might be lower with the hood down. I'm not trying to be rude, only realistic. But all this is moot. He's now getting that AEM treatment. I can't wait to see what they do. Keep us posted.

Unless you build or buy a CAI , you are better off of eliminating all CA SULEV items (see previous posts) and using a Drop-in K&N for better breathing.
Did you know?? The stock intake system uses a cheap approach to creating a high pressure area near the intake. Because of this, you will get a "mild ram air" effect into the airbox. How do they do it? Precisely shaped and located weather stripping!
This is the first cool idea I have seen in the engine compartment. Smart--very smart.
Thanks everybody! There were some really nice cars this month and I am thankful for the support. We have a great community here and I am proud to be a member of the tribe.
remove the wheels, and you'll see 3 screws behind each silver insert. remove them all, you end up with 60 screws. and yes, you have to remove the screws
