if so how hard of install are these bad boys, and should i get the harness because i don't want to mess with any of the factory wiring if i don't have to

There is an HID installation guide here- it's quite simple, takes 30 to 70 minutes. I'd recommend the harness as it maintains your warranty fully. It's plug and play either way though.

Posted this in another forum, but it might be more applicable here: I know that these kits are stock bulb replacements, but do they still require you to drill through the stock bulb retainer like some of the other kits? I have a 2011 Sportage and this seems to be the best H11B replacement option, but I don't want to drill into my brand new lights.

If your car has dust caps over the bulb enclosure, you have to drill a small hole through them to run the wires. There is no way around this; no kit that can be installed without drilling the holes. You can remove the caps, alternatively, if you would like, but that risks dust in the headlight.
