There are several threads on speaker replacements and other audio setups. Our resident audio guru D113 has gone through several phases with his and he has uploaded several pictures along with great tips on where and what you can start with.
Here are a few examples from a quick search using "D113" and "Audio".
Good luck. I got information overload earlier this year when I was considering 'upgrading' the factory audio as well.
I'm still holding off for now. I still need the trunk space but I plan to add a single 10" for some well needed bass but I know the other speakers will also require an upgrade too. I'm out for something crisp and tight.

i have a 2011 koupe and in installed 2 12" Alpine type R subs in a sealed box with 2 1000w alpine speakers and an 1.5 farad capacitor along with upgraded line convertors it pounds like a mofo if ur lookin for awesome bass it worked 4 me
May i just say that the scale of the car subwoofer is essential, and bigger is just not necessarily better...! This will depend on what you are generally after. Truly had 12", 15", a different 12", and also have finally settled on a 10" to be most suitable for the tastes (possibly even a good 8"! ). It is important is that I don't like R&B, rap, or perhaps hip-hop music. Instead I've Fur Patrol (rock), Daft Punk, Coldplay, Reside, make a mistake, Roxette (! ), Serious Straits, Natural born player, umm... whilst others. It helps if you're able to narrow this down prior to choose the speakers!
When it comes to sound systems man, it's hard to say what to recomend.. It all depends on what kind of sound you want

Are your MTX's the grey ones or the hexagon MTX's?
Those hexagon MTX's surprised the hell out of me years ago.
To the OP.. if all you want is a bit of bass, look into a bass tube?
Amp is built in

That's awesome! Thank you so much!
By the way...I meant to ask...where did you buy your R package? It looks unbelievable!
