I want to cut or mount a vent into the side of the bumper were the filter is to help get more cooler air to it and I just want opinions on how to do it because I don't want it to look autozoned out.
Ya I thought about that but I want the opening off to the side of the filter just in case water splashs around that area even though it probably wouldnt hurt anything.
I rly don't see how a vent would help to be honest..yea I understand that it would give it a bit more ventilation to the CAI, but how much does it rly need? Not bashing, I just wouldn't wanta cut up a car to maybe get 1-2 extra HP out of the CAI, if that...I can't see this not looking autozoned lol
Agree with shaks on this, Why not just cut the cover below where the filter sits. my thought is if you cut a vent on the driver's side of the bumper itll look off-balance without that vent in the passengers side really you want more air to be around the filter and cutting that cover frees up the other (about) half of the filter to getting more air to suck in. good luck with it.

I've thought about doing the same thing. I wanted to cut out an area next to the fog light, but like you wanted something more indirect. My next thought was to retrofit one of those vents they put in the side rear windows of race cars. Small, and easy to flush mount. Unfortunately the idea of cutting into my front bumper was shot down by my wife. Definitely interested to see how this comes out!

I would do that but I have a dual intake so one filter up top and one down in the bumper. So I just need a vent of some sort I can mold into the bumper.
