Anyways, let's act like adults and wait till my car is finished and then talk "facts"
In the meantime, let's keep things mature. Thanks bro
My car was very similar except I had the 18" version of the wheels...I punked out on the 19's based on comments like Michaels. While the 18's were nice, I always regretted not going for the 19's.

Here are a few examples of rides on 19's that look great in my opinion. In fact it's the exact rim and tire dimensions of the setup I'm doing.

While I do think 20's are overkill, 19's are at the top end of the spectrum....ESPECIALLY if they are black/dark wheels. They will look smaller than they actually are.

The ride will be harsher but it won't be unbearable. And lolcopter @ scraping the wheel wells. There are modifications to compensate for that.

FWIW, here is a similar sized car with 19's AND a thinner tire....which I think looks faptastic.

Yes, I am a moron- I apologize for offending you and anybody else here by giving some honest input. You are right and I am wrong. The car in these pics is perfect. It will drive wonderfully [better than stock for sure] and the suspension looks like it is 110% improved. Particularly the front bumber should have nooo problem clearing driveways and curbs. Those rubberband wheels around the rims will hold up nicely on potholes too. "dude that car looks tight...I am gonna put 22's on mine...word up'.

I bet the person that put these on put them on for one reason...for looks. And he lowered it for one reason....looks. And if he thinks it looks good, then that's awesome. Your constant sarcastic comments are adding absolutely nothing to this forum and, as posted above, have actually deterred people from making their own decisions. The majority of people on car forums have altered their car from stock either for looks or performance...hot-rodding/modding is and has been around forever and will continue so i suggest you get used to it.

That VW looks like a toy car. Huge wheels, small body. I can't say I hate the look, but I don't really know if I like it either. It looks kinda funny.

I'm all for a mix of form and function, like 18s on a Forte with proper suspension and rubber.

But 19s simply are too big for the car! They will not improve anything at all. Looks are a question of personal taste, I admit. I just don't understand why someone would ruin a car's handling/comfort/performance strictly for better (in their opinion) look.

Jealouslover: The CSX you posted looks ok 'cuz the wheels were fitted properly and don't look too big because of their style (atleast from that angle). The bimmer, of course, looks great 'cuz it's a much larger car.

It's all about proportions!

I give the op props for not doing the traditional 17"/18" approach. He is one of few who is doing something different for his tastes on his car.

I agree he was going for looks and now that car 'looks' funny.

Another drama filled thread, these are entertaining.

I don't think I'll like the 19" look on our Forte's. I think it'll look a little big like they do on the VW which isn't my style. When I see pics maybe I'll change my mind and either way some people are gonna like it and some aren't.

I'm not gonna call the look any degrading names but I do think there will be more issues with that kind of setup. I have a 1.2" drop and 18's on it and I worry about potholes constantly, I can only imagine 19's. Are you going to drop the car also with the 19's? I don't know if you're gonna rub or not but I think you have greater chances in doing so. I was testing speeds on off ramp corners with my Eibach springs and Toyo Proxes T1-R tires and I had rub a couple times (probably can be eliminated with some good struts). Just some food for thought.

Let's be honest here, 19's just won't work on his car, it will ruin the ride and really make it look like a clown car.

Don't you care that you would be wasting somebodys time and money when you keep telling them that it will look good and function well when in fact it won't??? You really have to stop doing that - its not good for the person or their car. Are you going to reimburse him when the balloon wheels make his car drive like crap and probably scrape the wheels wells when he turns???

This is not even an opinion...its a fact. If a person does not want input/opinions from people then they simply should not post and go about their day and be done with it. If you don't like input/opinions then stay away from car forums they are loaded with input and opinions. As for you wanting to start a thread about me - 'oh please please please don't do it, I promise from now on to say 'wow that looks tight man, go for it'...and we will all live happily ever after.
For the thousandth freaking time Michael, nobody is asking you to sugarcoat anything.

Your first post was void of any constructive criticism

"19's will make it look like a clown car and it will drive horribly. Can't wait to see the pics...lol..."

That is called SHITTING on someone's thread.

I've warned you about this before. The admins and mods are in talks about what we are going to do about this now. It's almost always you that does this, barely anyone else. On the table is an amendment to the board rules about NO THREADCRAPPING. If this get's passed you can bet your ass you will be warned and then banned for this behaviour.

We arent asking you to do anything unreasonable.. just maybe leave us alone.

OR

post something constructive in your first post... not your defense.

as for :

Don't you care that you would be wasting somebodys time and money when you keep telling them that it will look good and function well when in fact it won't??? You really have to stop doing that - its not good for the person or their car. Are you going to reimburse him when the balloon wheels make his car drive like crap and probably scrape the wheels wells when he turns??? "

I didn't tell him anything. I wasn't telling him anything.

as for:

If you don't like input/opinions then stay away from car forums they are loaded with input and opinions.

Actually...

If YOU don't like that we are asking you to stop... YOU CAN LEAVE.

Nobody has said anything about your input here being consistently GOOD or Positive,
in fact, it's the opposite.

Get a clue will you?

I'm tired of having to look at threads that you crap on and people complain about. (REPORT) If this was Survivor.. you'd be voted off a long time ago.

But if you boot me then the forum will be boring...everything will read 'aight dude that looks tight...go for it'...

Let's be democratic and take a poll and see whether the forum wants me here or not. I will adhere to the outcome of the results.

I don't think that will be necessary.

How about you just adhere to what i've said before, and what i'll say again

if you want to say something negative about someone's ideas/opinions/modifications, than either do it constructively, or dont do it at all.

It's quite easy to say " i don't like it," and that's all... if you REALLY feel the need to say anything at all.

What I don't get is why you even bother posting some of the things you have posted. It's like you need everyone to hear what your opinion is.

If you really want me to put a poll up I will discuss it with the rest of the administration.

That car does indeed look good-very good actually! That is a great example of it being done right.
