i wonder if you can run 245 on the koup. Not stock rim, on a different rim. technically its only 30mm bigger that stock. which is only like 1.2 inches.
Basically your overall wheel + tire need to have a diameter of 25". If you exceed that, it will rub/touch your wheel well. Based on other members' experience, 225 would be okay, as 215 being stock. Use this site to check:

Well. 0.3" isn't THAT big, remember your wheel gap is maybe 1-2 inches depending on load the vehicle is carrying. Also the front wheels need to be able to clear the fenders when turning. You want to take all this into consideration. I would not go more than 1" bigger than normal size, especially since it'll mess up your speedometer reading too.

if run a 235/40/17. the overall diameter of the set up would be 24.4 as to the stock set 215/45/17 which is 24.62. that way you get a wider tire on a lowered car so the wheel well gap won't look huge. the only question is will a 235 push the tire-rim pressure to far. that if you hit a bump or pothole to hard the tire will blow out. also the speedo reading would change from if going 65 on a 215/45/17. it would read 64.43 with the 235/40/17.
