Default New wheels (Rota Gforce 18's)

Got some new wheels put on today. They are Rota G-force 18x8.5 with a +38 offset, however the wheel place machined 3mm off the back of each wheel so they are now +41 offset......this sits them into the guards a bit more. The colour is called Hyper-black.http://www.rotawheels.com.au

The tyres are Federal Formoza FD2's 215/45 R18. So far I'm happy with these tyres because they are quiet. I really didn't want tyres with an aggressive tread pattern because in the past I've found they introduce a ton of road noise into the cabin. I haven't had a chance to test their stopping or cornering ability but I'm guessing that they will be better than the factory tyres at least.

Anyway, here are a few pics, I will be getting lowered springs soon, either the Eibach kit that everyone seems to use or lowered King Springs.....the car looks terrible sitting so high!

That look sick. Very cool choice on the rims. Ride with pride, brother.

Really like those. . .Now I have to wrestle with which ones I want. I was looking at the Tenzo Type M in Black or Machined.

Did you happen to put them on the car before you had the extra 3mm taken off? I'm thinking about some wheels in the same width and offset and wasn't sure how much poke to expect. I'd read a bit about shaving some off the wheel to increase the offset..just wasn't sure about it. Btw, the wheels and the color choice look great..I'm sure your anxious to get her dropped...I felt like I had a totally different car after I did mine.

No I didn't see them on the car before they were shaved down. The place that did mine was wheeltech.com.au they do drift car prep so I guess they know what's safe and what's not :S have a look at the Road Race Koup, they are running 8.5" wide rims with a 35 offset and it still looks ok but you probably wouldn't want to go any lower in offset than that.
