Hey my friend! Yes i do have a turbo on the 5at and currently am pushing 10.5lbs. That is the highest i have seen it hit but typically in houston weather i see high 9s. I have zero problems with it on the car and tbe transmission. At the time of install of the turbo i did have the shop also install a transmission cooler to help with heat. But to answer ur question no sir i have not seen any problems with the turbo on the 5at. It does still have its "hard shift" at times but not all the time. I also dont have a custom tune so im running currently on piggyback tune. And that has been fine but i know if i can some how get btr to texas it will clear up the hiccups and put me close to if not over 300whp.
Hey man I have a 2010 FORTE KOUP SX AT and I want to put a turbocharge on it. How much boost are you pushing on yours? have you had any problems with the transmission?
If u are in Houston there is a place called secret services off 59 and bissonett. They specialize in aftermarket performance. I dont know if they can net u any horsepower or torque gains but a simple tune up they should be able to get it done.
Hey bro, Im at 50K+ mileage now, need a good tune up. I could go to the dealership but I was wondering if you knew a shop that did good tune ups. I am going to be getting tk cai and an exhaust, but I want my car running good before I get them. I can tell it's lagging a little now
yea man, seems to always get to a certain point then one thing or another just gets in the way. I too am 100% game for it to happen and seeing as i NEED this tune and they are the only one who can tune a turboed forte i will have to wait until something transpires. But i will for sure keep u posted if anything new comes up with a Texas BTR tune event
What happened to the BTRcc potentially coming to Texas? Every single tuning topic seemed to end in August with no update... I live in Austin and am 100% good to go if they are making the trip here. 2011 Koup 6AT n/a with the usual exhaust/intake. Let me know if anything develops. 512-639-9022
