Hello all. I'm in the market for a new car and found a pretty good deal on a 2010 Forte Koupe SX 2.4 6spd manual near me. I just wanted to see if there were any known problems with this particular platform, engine, or transmission. I totaled my Saturn Ion Redline and I'm looking for something a little less quick but still fun to drive.

Welcome, glad to have you here. I think you'll be pretty happy with the Koup. I've had mine for over two years and I still love driving it and can't stop staring at it.

The biggest problem I've heard with the 2010's is the dead spot in the clutch. A lot of people, even experienced drivers who have been using a manual transmission for years, were having issues stalling the car on occasion because of the clutch. Check out this thread... Best Throttle mod ever... It seemed to fix that problem for many people.

And if you ever feel like you need a little more power like you had with the Ion, check out our vendor TurboKits.com. They currently have the only turbo kit available for our Fortes. They originally designed it using the same exact model and trim you're looking at.
