That specific one I think is sold as a Subaru Intake for there 2.5s. I bought it cause it had the most extras that I could physically see. Searching on the net led me to seeing Dyno runs with 10hp to 18hp gains. Not that I expect 18hp lol. Good thing about this is that the hose is much smoother and less restrictive then the hose for the Spectre kits, and it can be disconnected and ran as a SRI whenever it rains really hard. I'm still debating whether to hook it up to the fresh air scoop or secure it where the CAI's are going.

hello, as promised in other topic give a photo of my apollo in temporary installations. Sorry for quality, my camera has its battery out, so I have to make a small photo on phone.
Let`s try to find out the best way of installing it.
If we look at stock system, we have pipe from engine to air filter box(pipe A) and another pipe from air box to input cold intake (pipe B). My current idea is to mount apollo on stock pipe A (they fit each other) and the pipe that comes with apollo (pipe C) connect with pipe B. But there is a problem that apollo should be firstly moved that it will be headed to front of car (not as on my photo) and another problem that pipe B and pipe C has the same internal diameter 70 mm. Fisrt problem I suppose can solved with 90 degree pipe, I have one, but this pipe is also 70mm, so it can be inserted in pipe A, but apollo can be inserted in it without silicone connector (I suppose 70-70mm), I haven`t one. But thinking going to oreder it. The second problem can`t be solved with connector cause its outer diameter is much more that 70 mm, so I don`t now how to connect pipe B and pipe C. And the last problem, I don`t have the way for mounting of apollo.
The link isn't coming up. Says that it's not a functioning page to the site. Just and FYI.
Link fixed I think. I bought the used one for $10 cheaper and they only had one left in stock. That link was for the used one.

We will figure this out . 70MM translates to roughly 2.7IN in diameter. Seeing that I currently have a Spectre Kit with spectre pipes that 3IN in diameter I don't see how you wouldn't be able get some rubber spacers to go around the filter to fit these pipes. So my plan of attack is to try and get this filter to fit with these pipes. After I/We figure out a good mounting position, I'm going to decide to mount it to the fresh air scoop or mount it down behind the foglight.
The kit I ordered is for a Subaru so it comes with mounting hardware for the tubing. It also comes with piping but I won't have use for it Tyzall and I are suppose to meet soon so hopefully if I/We don't have it figured out, me and him can take a crack at it. Also, I'm sure your local auto parts store has couplers that will fit the filter. Mounting the filter itself won't be hard if you use solid piping, it hardly moves.

So you paid ~150 for a filter and some bendy plastic piping? Doesn't really seem worth it when there are intake options for slightly more. Like my brother bought the KN intake for the forte for 230, and that is specifically made for the Forte.
Hey, I like to fiddle with things :P. I wasn't at all looking for an economical way. I already have a Spectre kit in the car but you don't understand the feeling that I got from when I just had the Spectre filter vs the Spectre with a tube as a CAI. I want something to play around with, something different, and something that is at least name brand.

1: Old setup
2: Filter
3: Filter opening
4: Filter connect with the tube.
I got it hooked up as a normal SRI right not and wow, so much louder . I need to work on getting the right pipes to get the angle I want so I can mount the tube behind the fog light. Pics when done

I had it as a SRI then the tube running under it to the scoop. I just feel like I get more oomph when it is in the bumper, and the sound goes away completely lol. I'll try and remember to take a photo on how it is hooked up to it though.

1: What it looked like before
2: Bought a 22Degree Elbow from the Spectre Kit $11.99
3: In order for it to fit in picture 2, I had to cut this much off.
4: Had to cut more to make room for the hose assembly but not much.
Wrapped the plastic piping in reflective tape, wrapped the coolant hose in a layer of friction tape, reflective tape, then another layer of friction tape for shits and giggles, cause it rubs on the clamps.
5: The hose assemply wasn't attaching good enough for my liking so I put down one layer of friction tape and it fits very snug.
I ran the hose down behind the fog light, mounted it onto the plastic flap below the bumper. I have it at an angle pointing backwards towards the tire. The intake hose is made out of aluminum, painted black on the outside. It is very easy to bend in any shape or form too
Sorry that I didn't get a picture of it hooked up to the air scoop. My opinion though, it is only usefull to hook up the hose to the air scoop when you have a SRI setup pointing towards the rear. Other then that the piping would be at such an angle, in my opinion, would rob you of potential HP gains.
When I first started it, i watched to make sure everything was working properly. Proceeded to rev it a little, tapped the gas repeadily for a few seconds, I hear a pop in the intake and it stalls.. So naturally I'm like "Wtf is going on, something exploded" I double checked, then restarted it, revved and it didn't stall out. It was a cold start and I have had my car stall before on a cold start with the Spectre Intake. I will keep an eye on this though lol. I want to tell myself "It's the ECU getting used to the extra air." but I highly doubt that.
Sound, has decreased cause of the intake tubing but it is still there and very noticeable. When it rains I'm just going to disconnect the tubing and run only the filter. Thanks guys and I hope this helps someone else!!!
Thanks to Tyzall for helping out ^_^

Lolz I'm taking donations >.<. There is no point in my mind to spend the extra$300 to $400 when the gains can't be anymore then the CAI from TK. I can definitely feel the difference though.

I do not know how I helped, but sure haha. Let me know if you do anything at all with the parts I gave you. Maybe one of these days I will splurge and get the TK CAI...only time will tell. Now I just gotta help you out with a red stitched boot cover. I am definitely going to get the red interior map lights after seeing yours this past weekend.
