K Brace
"The K brace for the Forte is in a class of its own. When it comes to unifying the chassis of a vehicle this is the brace you want for your ride. Steering response is improved while body roll is cut significantly. You will notice yourself quite quickly taking corners faster than you ever thought you could. This gives the driver all the feedback you want, with NONE of what you don't! Not only will you feel the difference, but you can count on being faster on the track and in the mountains! We used our popular 1'' square stock composed of 1040 carbon steel to strengthen up the front-mid chassis of the Forte."
Sub Frame Brace:
"Take your Kia Forte to the next level with this Front Sub Frame Brace. This piece works by connecting the sub frame underneath the engine bay. A massive cornering improvement was felt in our test car while under heavy acceleration exiting corners. Traction is improved and launches will now a breeze! Never worry about wheel hop exiting a corner or under launching again! As always you can trust our robust welds and high quality 1040 carbon steel. This brace(as with all TB Performance braces) is proudly built in house here in the USA!Fitment: koup, sedan, hatchback "

It is an epoxy coating which is sand blasted first to profile the substrate and then coated and then baked. So it is a solid coating, nothing cheap. It has great corrosion resistance and chemical resistance. I am sure it would show some wear from a Canadian winter, not sure if there is anyway around that, but it is a quality coating
