Ok, we went ahead and did a small run of Fire Engine Flat Red and Black Chrome CAIs! We have (5) of each (some are sold already). First come, first serve.
TK so the current intake system is not a direct install for 2011's auto w/ paddleshift koup ryt? If so, when r u releasing one? Are these next limited ones will be direct bolt on?

I'd say its a bad idea to get the black. you guys marketed it as "limited edition" and placed a premium on it just so whoever buys it gets to feel special. you making more of it will just disappoint your previous customer who had already bought it.
Why would we ever buy a "limited edition" again if its not gonna be so limited?
We have sold quite a few to customers with the 2011, the only issue we are certain on is that KIA changed the battery tray, so a different bracket needs to be made. We did have one customer, you probably saw the post, have a hard time installing it, but in the same thread another customer with the same car said his was install without those issues. The good news is we have a 2011 AT coming in next month and will settle the question once and for all and hopefully be able to make the changed needed on our next round of intakes to fit the 2010, 2011 & 2012! Thanks

Wow, wake up on the wrong side of the bed today noodile ? We ALWAYS marketed it as a limited run of (100). We brought in the first run of (50) a while back and were about to bring in the second run of (50) when we had this idea. So yes, the "Limited Edition" are truly Limited at TurboKits.com!

oh, my bad then, sorry TURBOKITS. i thought you guys meant it as 50 extra, other than those marketed in the begining. Please accept my apologies.
What is this issue about the battery box being remounted when installing a turbokit cai? does any modification need to be made? if you have a 2011 koup 2.4 6m/t please let me know bc im odering my cai tomorrow
No sir, we have never had to remove a battery box / tray to install an intake or any of our turbo pipes. I think it may have just been an installer being overly cautious...
The mounting bracket on our CAI connects to the battery tray on the 2010 Koup, KIA changed the battery tray and there is no longer a connection. So on the 2011 currently you'll need to make a small mounting tab to hold the CAI in place.

We've had customer use zip ties, we've had customers make a bracket from some sheet metal. The best bet is to fold a piece of sheet metal into an L bracket, tuck one end under the filter clamp and bend the other end to a frame bolt hole and bolt it down. Otherwise, just be creative. As long as it's not hitting any metal
