Current Update:

I'm waiting on the dealer to ship in the other mounts to see exactly how different the mounting points are. The best thing I can do in the meantime is have inserts made for the stock mounts to keep costs down and engineering time, testing you name it. We have already have 3 months testing the front and rear mounts for the SX Manual trans.

Let me know what you guys think?

How is the handling with the new mounts? Experience wheel hop as much on acceleration?

We have experience wheel hop a couple times due to wet road conditions. On a dry surface we have not experienced any wheel hop and we have pushed this Koup to test durability and strength of the rear mount. The Koup has better acceleration due to new mount and durometer bushing we are using.

Well the filter is one thing, I'm more interested in what design you have gone for. If you have teaser pictures, please post ^_^

Hello folks,

I have not forgotten about you guys just been dealing with some family issues. I have the front and rear motor mount completed and its in the testing phase now. I plan on showing the pics of the design and actual product by Mid-Feb. The problem I have is finding a machine shop thats not going to rape me on a low production run. Most shops want 50 parts made for them to give you a better price. To have a 15-20 part run they bring the price up and this causes a problem when I'm planning to keep the cost affordable.

Hey RPE could you comment on if there are any noticeable increases in vibration in the cabin and/or on the steering wheel?

Cash is burning a hole in my pocket, if I don't get these mounts to buy soon, I'll spend it on something else!

Pricing for the rear SX Manual motor mount is between $120-$150 shipped in the US. This is due to the pricing on anodizing the mounts. I've contacted 6 different shops locally to bring the cost down but these companies are not giving me a good price right now.

Teaser pics will be available soon. I don't want to give other companies ideas prior to having the product available. This is another reason why I have delayed showing pics.

There is little vibrations with the 75 durometer bushing on start up and while accelerating the Koup. When we used the 88 durometer bushing we felt a 25-30% increase in vibrations because of the stiffer bushing.

I understand how you feel I'm pushing to have the rear mount ready for next week. Depending on the demand I will have the front and side mounts available. Trust me this project has burned a big hole in my pocket. I'll be happy to break even right now.

Intake or Mounts? If your speaking about the intake system for turbo application, I have not designed one. The one designed is for the stock intake location. If your speaking about the rear motor mount, The mount is for a Manual SX model Koup.
